Immortals reach Northern Arena final

Immortals have joined Cloud9 in the grand final of Northern Arena with a triumph over Echo Fox (2-1; Train 16-8, Nuke 11-16, Cache 16-9).

In the second semi-final, whose first map was Train, Immortals began the map as Terrorists and didn't put any kills on the board in the first three rounds. They quickly made up for it in the following three, only losing three guns in the process of making it 3-3.

Echo Fox found themselves on poor economy multiple times in the remainder of the half, as they only managed to trade rounds at best and switched over to the offence with six rounds in the bag.

The second pistol round went down to the wire on the B bombsite with João "felps" Vasconcellos coming out on top of the final duel for a 12-6 lead. Wilton "zews" Prado then pitched in with a round-changing double defending the B bombsite, helping Immortals reach 14 rounds.

Immortals took Train with relative ease

Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan was unable to deny map point despite a hopeful 1v3 attempt and Henrique "HEN1" Teles's team clinched the map shortly afterwards at 16-8.

Nuke followed with Echo Fox leading 5-0 towards the beginning as Terrorists after numerous close situations. Immortals only won one out of the next four rounds and three more before the half ended, but also conceded a 4v2 advantage and a couple of clutches.

Switching over to the defence with a comfortable 11-4, Sean "seang@res" Gares' squad were heavily favoured to push the series to the decider. Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles came out on top of a ridiculous 1v2 in the following pistol round however, giving Immortals much-needed leeway. The Brazilians' effort was all for naught in the end, as Daniel "roca" Gustaferri led the way to the third map, breaking the 30-kill mark in the 16-11 win.

roca put up a brick wall in front of Immortals on Nuke

The first three rounds on the decider, Cache, went back and forth until Echo Fox took control, gaining a 4-1 lead. HEN1 wreaked havoc in the next gunround and got four frags to his name and continued to pull his weight and then some further on.

Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir combined with seang@res to stop their opponents' five-round streak, turning a 2v4 situation on its head, which was enough to break Immortals' economy. Thanks to it, Echo Fox were able to grab three more rounds and the sides switched at 9-6 in their favour.

As Terrorists, zews's five took no hostages winning five rounds with ease before their opponents took a tactical timeout. It came to no fruition in the end, as Immortals stormed through the rest of the match and earned their place in the grand final at 16-9.

Yep, to be fair it'll be a 50/50 match imo, both of the two teams are in a good form, indivual plays will decide who will be Northern Arena's champions.
2016-09-04 06:49
i totally agree. I think HEN1/felps or the asian duo will be the deciders of the match

Striker, next time you write article about Immortals, don't write just surname of player. Teles can mean HEN1 and lucas.
