Six teams join WESG EU Finals list

As the Swedish, French, Norwegian and Adriatic online qualifiers came to a close, six more teams have joined the list for WESG Europe & CIS Regional Finals, taking place from October 6-9 in Kiev.

The last few days saw four more qualifiers for WESG Europe & CIS Regional Finals being played out, including Sweden, France and Monaco, Norway and Adriatica.

In Sweden, big favourites GODSENT made it through without breaking a sweat, with Epsilon grabbing the other spot following a close three-map affair with fnatic Academy.

Four players of the 2015 LGB roster put together a mix-team for Norway's qualifier

Envy had little to no trouble topping the qualifier in France and Monaco, while MAXISAUCISSE (featuring LDLC's former player Matthieu "matHEND" Roquigny) defeated dizLown for second place.

A mix consisting of former LGB players, including FaZe's duo and Ruben "RUBINO" Villarroel, triumphed in Norway, while Nemanja "k1Ng0r" Bošković's TEAM1231 secured first place in Adriatica.

With the six aforementioned teams joining VatosLocos and Bpro, the list of attending teams looks as follows:

Qualified
Portugal VatosLocos Bulgaria Bpro Sweden GODSENT  Sweden Epsilon
France Envy France MAXISAUCISSE  Norway .Norway Serbia TEAM1231

Remaining spots' distribution
Germany Germany Poland Poland Poland Poland Russia Russia
Russia Russia Ukraine Ukraine  Europe Benelux Europe Central Europe
Denmark Denmark Denmark Denmark  Europe North East Europe  Europe UK, Ireland, Iceland

The Polish qualifier is currently down to the last-four stage, where Virtus.pro will face Refuse while Kinguin are set to lock horns with PRIDE.

No, and neither of those lineups would be eligible to compete anyway because they have mixed nationalities.

The nationality rule might be a olympic thing but if fucks over the general esport structure majorly and not alot of teams who have mixed nationalities (like US/Canada) are willing to pick up stand ins for this. And when players want to form an "allstar team" like norway lineup, teams often stop them from doing it because they dont want their players to play without their jerseys.

biggest bullshit ever. teams with new roster were winning majors before. The true is fnatic is owned by WESA board so they are not allowed to play WESG which is not santioned by WESA. Read more here: www.hltv.org/blog/12580-wesa-vs-wesg-vs-esforce

The same nationality rule is just stupid and it keeps CS bac. Top teams from one country? Nope. International teams? Nope. I was so glad that WCG, ESWC days were over, now why did they have to come back?
