VG win eXTREMESLAND over RNG

VG.CyberZen win eXTREMESLAND Zowie Asia CS:GO 2016 over Renegades 2-1 (Train 13-16, Dust2 16-12, Cobblestone 16-11) and claim $40,000 in prize money.

The grand final match of eXTREMESLAND used a ban-ban, pick-pick, random veto process, leaving Train (Renegades), Dust2 (VG.CyberZen) and Cobblestone (random) to be played.

The Australians started strong on the Terrorist side of Train, taking the first five rounds before VG.CyberZen started pushing back and putting rounds on the board. With rounds being traded back and forth, it was Renegades on the Terrorist side profiting due to their economic advantage.

The score was 8-3 when WeiJie "zhokiNg" Zhong managed to get four kills to secure his team an eco round win, but the Chinese still managed only five Counter-Terrorist rounds - setting themselves up for an uphill struggle on the first map.

VG.CyberZen win another Asian event

After the switch, Renegades took the pistol round and added insult to injury with Yaman "yam" Ergenekon's smoke-defuse to make it 14-6.

VG.CyberZen didn't give up though, and with Bin "Savage" Liu carrying the most of the load they managed to put up a solid fight, getting up to 13 round before Renegades managed to close out the match 16-13.

Even though they lost the first map, VG.CyberZen took their momentum into Dust2 and started off strong on the CT side to get a 6-0 lead. Renegades adapted by focusing on the B-site, utilising a combination of different tactics to repeatedly get into after plant situations that were clutched out by the likes of Aaron "AZR" Ward and Justin "jks" Savage.

AZR was a standout player for Renegades

The first half ended 8-7 for the Chinese team, but after losing the pistol and the following round they took control of the map when the guns rolled in.

Renegades opted for double and triple AWP setups to get early picks and got a few rounds on the board, but the economic weight of the buys forced them to a double eco situation as soon as they lost a round, allowing VG.CyberZen to get 16-12 win on map 2.

Zhuo "advent" Liang and co. had a solid showing as Terrorist on Cobblestone in the first half, getting a 10-5 lead, but the Australians were slowly closing the gap after the switch and got to a tight 11-8 score.

Unfortunately for them, VG.CyberZen got to match point quickly after that and sealed the series with a 16-11 win despite valiant efforts from jks.

2016-09-26 04:55
Still don't know why Savage hasn't been picked up by Tyloo, fancy1 is kind of an onliner and Savage is the best player of all time from China just makes sense to me.

Savage was in Tyloo a few years ago. Then he retired since 2013.
2016-09-26 05:01
Yeah I know, I'm talking about now in 2016 why they haven't tried getting him back. This guy is a legend and still insanely good in CS Go, under rated player in CS Go imo. I know fancy1 is like the best player online in China without a doubt but on LAN he just isn't their star he never shines on LAN this could be a good pick up for Tyloo if they tried to bring Savage back.

Perhaps he likes his current team and the management treats him nice.
2016-09-26 05:08
True, I think he's good enough alone to bring Vici above Tyloo next year, they better pick him up before it's to late.

I hear u. Too bad dream team often cant be formed due to various reasons. If savage joins tyloo, probably a top 10 team there.
2016-09-26 05:45
Cause tb and savage are very good friends, and if one of them retires, the other one won't play as a professional player either. And their current boss is their big fan, and he spend millions of rmb to bring Tb and savage back to the battlefield of csgo. I don't think they would go to another club.
2016-09-26 08:06
Fancy onliner? LoL. He's their IGL since qz left tyloo. Have you ever watched when qz was still in tyloo? Fancy always carry them, just like niko did in mouz. Plus, he got offered from some chinese org around $60k per year and he reject
2016-09-26 14:57
QZ didn't leave they kicked him cause he was cheating. Fancy1 is an amazing player, but on LAN he never shows up, goes crazy online hence why I called him a bit of an onliner.
2016-09-26 17:53
You clearly never watch him playing back then when qz still in team. I said, he's beast both on LAN and online. After qz left, he's the caller and still solid. Its not like he's in a slump or what, he's still good I've been following asian CS and i said and lots of ppl in china think fancy is the best china player atm. You only look for frag and thats wrong
2016-09-26 20:01
"After qz left" ? ? ? You mean after they got disqualified from the major qualifier because QZ had a vac banned account and they kicked him? I didn't say he was in a slump either he is just straight up better online. Please understand I'm not talking about LANs where he plays other Chinese teams, I'm talking about big LANs. Tyloo is the best team in Asia but Savage is the best player, now that Tyloo will bootcamp in EU hopefully they can get even better I think they have lots of potential just need more experience and practice against the best teams. I provided the links below so you can stop saying QZ "left" Tyloo. hltv.org/news/16955-tyloo-disqualified-f.. reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/43.. After QZ got them disqualified they picked up Attacker and put QZ as a backup and shortly after that they kicked him.
2016-09-27 03:15
Then whats your poont? He's still good. It doesnt like he's in a slump or what but he's still great. Its not easy when you play as an IGL and doing some frags. Also tyloo is much better when he's calling the team
2016-09-27 03:54
I have no point, just saying Savage is the best player in China and you keep saying dumb shit like QZ left Tyloo and I got triggered so I wrote a whole paragraph to explain.
2016-09-27 20:12
Savage is not the best player in china atm, the best player in cn is either fancy or Somebody. Savage was really good in 1.6 but thats it. He's very good in csgo but compared to his form in csgo, he's much better in 1.6 So you weote the whole paragraph just to show that fancy is an onliner? Keep dreaming. Asked any tyloo player and any china fans and they'll say fancy is the best player in china. If you show me his rating in past 3 months, youre absolutely wrong. I said he's calling for tyloo rn, but hes still doing good even when he has to be an igl and thats not an easy job
2016-09-28 03:37
Savage is the best in China it's not even debatable and he's been the best for years now nothing has changed.
2016-09-28 03:40
Ive been his fan and i know his rating. In thisbtournament, he's the best player in entire team and he had great tournament. But from the last LAN against tyloo, he didnt showed up his game, sometimes bottomfragging but thats it. I didnt said he's bad but he rarely showed up. But when he showed up, he can play like beast. If you only look at csgo, then savage isnt the best china player. Its either fancy or somebody. Learn 2 read
2016-09-28 04:01
Yeah again that is your opinion, not mine so learn to accept other people's opinions. But like I said Savage is the best player in China and it isn't debatable.
