daps leaves OpTic

Damian "daps" Steele has announced his departure from OpTic, while Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz returned to the active roster.

August's off-season resulted in numerous changes in the scene, including OpTic, who let go of Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz, bringing in CLG's former player Tarik "tarik" Celik.

After over a month, OpTic are now making another change, as stanislaw officially comes back into the active roster following the departure of Damian "daps" Steele.

daps officially departs OpTic

OpTic have been playing official matches with the new roster since early September, shortly after they finished 5th-8th at Northern Arena with stanislaw standing in for tarik. During the last three weeks, daps acted as the team's coach.

In an extensive statement, the departed player revealed that he and the team came to a conclusion to part ways following internal discussions. The 23-year-old also stated that stanislaw took over the leadership duties.

OpTic now have the following active roster:

United States William "RUSH" Wierzba
United States Tarik "tarik" Celik
Spain Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas
Canada Keith "NAF" Markovic
Canada Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz

In less than two hours, Cloud9 will face OpTic in ESL One New York North America qualifier's grand final, which will determine the last team attending the $250,000 event from September 30-October 2.

The actual difference is that it is official 'spam'. And if the user post an intelligible comment in the end there is no need to punish anyone.

On Drop the Bomb they said that Tarik and a few others preferred Stanislaw's calling style. Then after some games with daps where they were in complete disarray they wanted a change. thats why they called Stan back

Daps to NRG? -gobB/Legija +Daps?
2016-09-27 22:31
For those who are lazy clicking on links this is a brief quote that sums up daps' future plans: daps (c) "Today I will be playing in the WESG Canadian qualifier with a pug for fun to try and make it to Brazil/China. As for my future I am uncertain. There are many paths I can explore and maybe attempting to start from scratch for a 3rd time is a possibility but I am not going to jump into anything too fast. I do still want to stay in the esports industry as I have a passion for it and I am open to whatever may present itself. "

It was pretty obvious.. I still don't know why they tried to get rid of Stan in the 1st place. Lets see how they perform now, cuz they were decent before adding Tarik and got inconsistent as fuck after that.

OpTic, and stanislaw, both became very strong without daps. stan never stood out as such a good player until they got rid of daps. Now imo he is one of their most solid players. With this lineup, I think OpTic won't be as big of a joke for 2017.
