OpTic eliminate Astralis from ESL NY

OpTic Gaming managed to upset and eliminate Astralis at ESL One New York with a 16-12 victory on Overpass.

OpTic started off well on the Terrorist side of Overpass, winning the pistol and following two rounds before Tarik "tarik" Celik managed an important clutch in the first gun round.

Astralis put two rounds on the board, but were unable to close them cleanly and build their economy. As a result, OpTic reset them with a single round win and got to a 7-2 lead as Terrorists early in the half.

The second part of the first half followed the same pattern, with Astralis grabbing a few rounds, but regularly losing out the following ones in clutch situations.

After G2, OpTic eliminate Astralis from ESL One New York

11-4 down and on the Terrorist side, the Danish team had a tough fight infront of them if they wanted to stay alive in the tournament. They decided to rush the underpass area on the pistol round, but were stopped in their tracks by two waiting OpTic members.

Astralis managed to win the Tec-9 and Deagle force-buy in the following round though, allowing them to get to 12-9 before Keith "NAF" Markovic shut down an A site execute by running through the smoke wall and getting two kills.

The Danes bounced right back though, but another tarik hero-play put OpTic 14-12 up and allowed them to close out the match 16-12 in the end for their second upset of the tournament.

cajunb was the problem, and soon kajaerbye was the problem (most likely), but in reality the core of this team doesn't work. To much soft skin in a single team. Bye Astralis #FreeKaaerbye

OpTiC sending EU trash teams home. G2 are mostly depended on shox getting 30kills each map Astralis getting overrated by community and Thorin for what they actually ain't

Astralis will not achieve anything with that lineup, they are not even top1 in DK... I think its that time to big changes in danish scene.
2016-10-01 23:26
If fnatic beats Liquid, than Optic will face the loser sk/vp. A big chance that no NA team will play tomorrow but gotta love the USA/NA hipe altough they have'nt acomplished nothing so extraordinary yet.
2016-10-01 23:26
so fans of a team cant celebrate their team winning a match? thats a funny way of describing it.
2016-10-01 23:33
It's about NA>EU topics, but in the end no NA team gonna win sh*t.

I watched their games today against Ast. and G2 and it was the luckiest matchs of the year by far.
2016-10-01 23:34
no, they really weren't. you just can't face the fact that optic knocked out a couple of bad EU teams. don't worry, if optic is getting lucky, they probably won't even make it to the playoffs tomm.

Well G2 played awful but still their were rounds that was unbelieveble.. With the luck that they had today I'm not surprised at all if they managed to reach the playoffs.

I hope g2 will keep losing so maybe they will finally kick whiffz and botyy if not then disband already made mistake kicking ex6 id rather kick shox and whifzz than ex6 in 2016
