TWC 2016 day 1 over
With the first day of The World Championships 2016 behind us, we bring a short recap of the action that took place in the EFRAG studios in Belgrade, Serbia.
The day started with the Scandinavian showdown between Sweden and Denmark, with the Swedes surprising with a 16-14 win on Mirage.
Team Sweden used that result to build confidence and ended the day with three wins, defeating France and Singapore as well.
Two other teams went 3-0-0 in the first day: Turkey and Canada - even though the latter team was forced to used their nominal manager Kyle "OCEAN" O'Brien instead of David "DAVEY" Stafford who couldn't arrive on time due to his flights getting delayed.
SEMPHIS' Team Canada went 3-0-0 in the first day of TWC
According to the latest information, DAVEY should be available for Canada's matches tomorrow.
Singapore was the busiest team of day 1, playing five matches and ending with a 2-0-3 score, while Denmark didn't live up to the hype, getting only one win from three matches.
With these results, we end day one of The World Championships 2016 with the following standing:
