Gambit Gaming have announced that they have secured the services of Abay "HObbit" Khasenov from Tengri on a six-month loan deal.
According to Gambit, the loan deal was the first of its kind between CIS esports clubs, but it predicts an increase in the number of temporary player transfers in the region in the future.
HObbit joins Gambit
With Gambit, Abay "Hobbit" Khasenov will have the chance to gain more international experience and even attend the ELEAGUE Major, for which the team qualified after finishing top eight at ESL One Cologne.
"It is sad to realize that I am leaving Tengri, since I have established myself with them and, for the most part, became who I am right now," he told Gambit's website.
"I would like to thank them for everything and wish them luck. On the other hand, I am glad to join Gambit Esports.
"I will try to fulfil my potential and contribute to our tournament victories!"
A report from ESPN Esports suggests that Gambit's final spot will be taken by Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko, who was replaced by Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev on Natus Vincere's starting roster in August. The 29-year-old, who attended the WESG EU & CIS Regional with mix team Ukraine, released a video last night celebrating 15 years in esports.
Gambit's lineup currently consists of:
Ivan "spaze" Obrezhan - backup
Rustam "TsaGa" Tsagolov - Coach
