mousesports top ELEAGUE Group A

mousesports have secured a playoff spot in ELEAGUE Season 2 after defeating Cloud9 19-16 on Dust2 in the winners' match.

mousesports played their opening match against Immortals on Mirage and had quite a strong CT-side. After leading 12-3 at halftime, the European team closed out the match 16-9. Chris "chrisJ" de Jong was the player of the match with a 31:14 score, a 107.0 ADR, and a 1.98 rating.

Cloud9 and FaZe squared off in the second opening match and the North Americans reigned supreme on Train. Although they were on the T-side to start the game, which is the less favored side, Cloud9 led 9-6 at halftime and won the match 16-7 thanks to Jake "Stewie2K" Yip and Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert's incredible showings.

chrisJ stepped up in both matches

The group final between mousesports and Cloud9 was played on Dust2 and chrisJ put his stamp on the match. The first half ended 8-7 in CT-sided mousesports' favor and they made it 13-8 at the start of the second half.

Cloud9 replied with seven rounds in a row to make it 15-13, acquiring two match points, but n0thing & company failed to capitalize on this advantage as the match went to overtime. The Europeans closed out the match 19-16 and qualified for the ELEAGUE playoffs.

2016-10-22 11:35
How is you not being a fan of ChrisJ relevant to him stepping up? Why give useless information bruh? Are you that self centered that even when it has absolutely nothing to do with you, you still feel the need to say your useless, unnecessary, puny, irrelevant opinion about ChrisJ? Yes, i'm fake flagging and i'm from The Netherlands. Little bitch. It's just a joke, please don't ban me Based Jonathan E.

like seriously faze is the most overrated shit team for over a year. And they'll be shit. This team has no potential. I know FaZe has some good players but they can't function as a team. I don't even know how this trash team qualified
2016-10-22 13:48
FaZe has higher potential as a team but with only 2 days practice it was pretty clear they would lose. Mouz has gotten really strong though, with ChrisJ AWPing again and an additional rifler. I think it was pretty expected. FaZe still needs some time, I don't think they stand a chance in Eleague right now sadly :-(
2016-10-22 12:17
its sad really. the eleague continues so long as a tournament. every other team plays here and teams like fucking alternate attax. LOL its still a 1.1m tournament and as they lost now it means that they ahve to qualify again next year. this is horrible..
2016-10-22 12:31
yes .... It was a really stupid move from FaZe to change roster two days before Eleague. :-(
2016-10-22 12:33
if they really kick jkaem its horrible for team spirit. also rain probably leaves aswell. they will fail esl finals aswell. they have nip, sk, dignitas, and c9 on same group. so cant expect much from that either. this is really bad situation for faze.
2016-10-22 13:01
faze is simply shit lul

Only the upper bracket is bo1, therew are 2 bo3 matches today. Last format was too confusing and long for the "casual" audience of ELEAGUE
2016-10-22 16:25
It was too long but now it's just an easy ride once again in the upper bracket. Shouldn't be like that. At least the upper final should be bo3. Upset potential is too high.
