OpTic crush Liquid 16-2

OpTic pick up their first win by defeating Liquid 16-2 in the opening game of the ESL Pro League Season 4 Finals.

The ESL Pro League Season 4 Finals started with a match on Train between the two North American teams in Group A - OpTic and Liquid.

Following a clean pistol, OpTic took the first gun round to ensure a strong start on the Counter-Terrorist side. Liquid managed to grab a round by pushing B to make it 1-4, but were instantly reset in the subsequent one.

Despite the announcements from the team, we still saw Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas using the AWP a lot, and with a lot of success - locking up the B site together with Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz who had some massive multi-kill rounds.

Liquid were getting shut down all over the map and found themselves 12-2 down going into the last round of the half. Nick "nitr0" Cannella made an entry on B and helped his team to get into a 4v2 after-plant situation, but Spencer "Hiko" Martin and co. still lost the round due to a fast smoke-defuse by Tarik "tarik" Celik.

Despite the announcements, mixwell was using the AWP a lot

After an A rush yielded them the pistol round win, OpTic weren't troubled and closed out the match with a quick 16-2 to secure their win, and a potentially important +14 round difference.

I wonder wether they have a better option, im not too familiar with the best qualities of the other players on optic
2016-10-26 22:03
they dont. they just switch things up. naf is technically a secondary awper but i think he plays the main awper in cache. (i might be wrong again)

Where is the anouncement of Optic?
2016-10-26 21:13
Mixwell announced he wont be the primary AWPer but he still is the primary AWPer on train, it is his best map to AWP on. Him and NAF will switch the AWP role depending on the map and side.
