Immortals outlast mouz, now 1-2

Immortals squeeze past mousesports in group A of the ESL Pro League Finals, 16-14 on Mirage, and they stay alive with a 1-2 score.

As one of the two teams having guaranteed crowd support, but on the brink of elimination, Immortals had their backs against the wall while mousesports could secure a spot for themselves in the play-offs. The duel taking place on Mirage did not favor the Brazilians looking at the recent results.

mousesports started of on the CT side with a brutal counter-push into apartments, not losing a single player in the process. Immortals managed to answer back in the first gun round, and an inspiring 1v2 clutch from Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles seemingly depleted the CT buy options, but with some pistols and a Scout, they counter-broke the Brazilian coffers, 5-2 for the European mix.

Off the back of a tactical pause Wilton "zews" Prado and co. managed to cook up a plan for dealing with mousesports aggressive map control plays, trading neatly in the mid portion of the map and the Brazilian side began to enter bombsites as a unit. 5-7 deficit for Henrique "HEN1" Teles's team.

boltz went completely ham against mousesports

An impressive A-take was put forward by "" leading to a 5v5 afterplant situation, shutting out any kind of CT initiative. The half ended 8-7 in favor of mousesports as the Brazilians had the clock run low and Timo "Spiidi" Richter denied the planters just in time.

Losing another pistol round made the first gun round in the second half crucial for Immortals and they barely avoided the direct reset as their 4v2 retake in the next round came down to a nanosecond defuse. Five more rounds for the Brazilian side and they took the lead for the first time in the game, 12-11.

LUCAS1 almost snuck in and defused alone from palace as the T's had left the plant, and though the plant came in early as well in the following round, this time zews had a smoke to back him up and neither of the T's could find him. 13-12 for Immortals.

The rounds went back and forth in nailbiting fashion, as the Tec-9 buys bewildered the defenders. Down to the wire in the 30th round, 15-14 for the home team, mousesports somehow lost track of their position advantage and the plant. Immortals outlasted the lone T Denis "denis" Howell, 16-14 and they stay alive in the competition, 1-2 in group A.

I genuinely think that these young players that mouz has, were majorly affected by the brazilian crowd, of course that will have an influence, not saying that their loss is excused, but it shall be an important step in their development!
