SK beat Na`Vi 2-0, on to the playoffs

SK defeated Natus Vincere at ELEAGUE to take the second playoff spot from group C (Dust2 16-8, Train 16-8).

SK had a good start to Natus Vincere's map pick, Dust2, as they took six out of the first seven rounds on the CT side.

The CIS team picked it up in the middle of the first half, with Denis "seized" Kostin going big in round 9 and getting four kills. Natus Vincere managed to equalize the score at 6-6 before Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo clutched a 1v1 against Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács on the B site to allow his team to finish the half with a 9-6 half.

Winning the pistol round on the T side put SK in the driving seat to close out the first map, as they got to a 14-6 score before Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and GuardiaN got on the double-AWP setup to get two rounds for their team.

SK didn't look troubled on Dust2

SK managed to take early mid control in the following round and convert that into a round win before closing out the first map 16-8 with an A-split.

Going into the second map and SK's playground, Natus Vincere got the much needed good start as they took the first five rounds on the CT side.

SK replied with a B site push on which all five players survived, allowing them to rebuy despite losing the following round. After a few rounds were traded SK ended up on an eco, but Marcelo "coldzera" David and FalleN managed to pull out a miracle and clutch out a 2v5 on B.

On the back of that upset round, the Brazilians clawed back from 7-3 to an only one round deficit at halftime, making it 8-7.

After winning the pistol and the following round, SK took over the lead and got to 12-8. In the 21st round, SK read Natus Vincere's ivy push and shut it down—with FalleN picking up two crucial Tec-9 kills.

With a help of a beast-mode coldzera, SK locked down the sites and left Natus Vincere without a single round on the T side of Train—one less than they got in their first encounter in ELEAGUE.

SK clearly dominated both maps and they demolished NaVi, they showed us once again they are currently best team on train at the moment and for NaVi literally they are not having any particular strats actually after coaching changes, their plan to switch igl for better player not working aswell too and ironically they get aim punched by SK many times, hope they will solve this problem before Major or we will see fall of NaVi in 2017 and for s1mple sorry but he can't be star player with 0.69 rating...

No sure there is a clear answer but: Is S1mple playing poorly because he is in a slump or is Na'Vi not setting things up for him to suceed?

Seems that NaVi without s1mple could put a better fight against SK.
2016-11-13 00:43
The bad thing now is that everyone will ban Train when play against SK. :-(
2016-11-13 00:43
What makes you think that teams will do it now after victory #23? NaVi also only didnt ban Train because their map pool is so bad that they had more chances on Train.

Coldzera top 1, s1mple has no chance
2016-11-13 01:20
Na'Vi just doesn't have the mentality or composure to be a top 3 team. They are just a bunch of has-beens (Guardian, Edward) and ragers/chokers (s1mple, siezed, flamie). Sure if they're firing on all cylinders they can win some games but they can't consistently grind out close matches or make comebacks like the real top-teams like VP, NiP, SK, former Fnatic etc. They might win the odd tournament now and then when S1mple or Guardian hits godmode but that's as far as they'll get unfortunately. They're like the people in MM that rage and give up after 5-6 lost rounds in a row.
2016-11-13 01:30
this!
