g3x win WCA Americas

g3x beat 3xTeam 2-0 in the WCA Americas final, 16-9 on Train and 16-12 on Cache for the Lion's share of the ~$26,000 prize pool. Both teams will be in attendance at the WCA World Finals in China.

The LAN in São Paulo, Brazil, saw eight teams fight for ~$26,000 and two spots at the WCA World Finals which will take place in Yinchuan, China, where 10 teams will fight for the bulk of ~$208,000, on December 09-13.


kNg's g3x earned a spot in the World Finals 

The event started out with a single elimination best-of-one, in which g3x beat Black Dragons and 3xTeam beat ProGaming. The second round was moved on to be best-of-threes, and there g3x beat Renato "nak" Nakano's  CNB, 2-0. Meanwhile, 3xTeam beat the Argentines of Furious, also 2-0.

With g3x and 3xTeam qualified for the WCA World Finals, both teams played for the grand prize: ~$15,000. It was finally g3x that came out on top with a 2-0. Meanwhile, the third and forth place match ended with CNB beating Furious in the 3rd and 4th place match.

Final standings:

1. Brazil g3x - ~$15,000 (¥100,000) + World Finals LAN spot
2. Brazil 3xTeam - ~$7,500 (¥50,000) + World Finals LAN spot
3. Brazil CNB - ~$3,000 (¥20,000)
4. Argentina Furious - ~$1,500 (¥10,000)

who cares tier x lan no good teams and badly timed event. The ELEAGUE Major 2017 - Offline Qualifier is just a few days later and a few days before are the ecs finals. Even without this scheduling i doubt any good team would fly there...
