IMT and Na`Vi with wins in Oakland

Immortals managed a tight win against Liquid (16-14 Cache) and Natus Vincere pulled out a strong Terrorist-side comeback against G2 (16-10 Overpass) in another round of matches at IEM Oakland.

After a 0-5 start on the Terrorist side of Cache for Liquid, Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski stepped up for his team, grabbing two entry kills to open up the B site and get the North Americans on the board in their match against Immortals.

Liquid followed it up with another two rounds to make it 3-5 before teams started trading rounds back and forth—with Spencer "Hiko" Martin and co. ending on the better side of the affair in the end after they took advantage of Immortals' limited buys, ending the half with an 8-7 lead.

Immortals squeezed out the win against Liquid

The Brazilians got a 5-0 start to the second half as well before the two AWP's of Josh "jdm64" Marzano and Jacob "Pimp" Winneche got all five kills for Liquid's first CT round on Cache. They couldn't continue the streak this time however, as Ricardo "boltz" Prass got two crucial kills in a 3v3 to shut down the A site retake.

Liquid managed to get to 14-14, but it was Immortals to take the match in the end as Henrique "HEN1" Teles capped off his great performance by getting the two last kills of the game, shutting down the A-site retake.

G2 opened up Overpass by winning the first four rounds on the Terrorist side before Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev started shutting down the approaches towards A—tieing the score at 4-4.

After winning one round G2 were in danger of being reset, but Edouard "SmithZz" Dubourdeaux stepped up and picked up 4 kills in a 2v5 situation on the B site to avoid the reset.

Following the clutch, the Frenchmen continued bullying the B site defense—getting up to 9-4 before Ioann "Edward" Sukhariev shut them down with a crucial Mag-7 double-kill.

Things were looking grim for Seized and co. in the first half of Overpass

Despite ending their Terrorist half 9-6, G2 struggled to do much on the CT side and quickly found themselves 14-10 down.

s1mple had another big round to get Natus Vincere on map point, picking up two kills on Cédric "RpK" Guipouy and Richard "shox" Papillon who were pushing B short and two more kills on the site. The CIS side closed the match out in the following round, making it 16-10 in the end.
