steel: "A bit surprised [we advanced]"

Following Immortals clinching second place in Group A and thus a quarter-finals spot, Lucas "steel" Lopes gave us an interview about the Brazilians' journey to playoffs at IEM Oakland.

After four close matches, three of which went to overtimes, and a one-sided encounter with G2, Immortals secured their place in IEM Oakland quarter-finals from the second spot in Group A.

Lucas "steel" Lopes talked to HLTV.org about some of Immortals' matches in the group stage and the nail-biting finish to the Natus Vincere encounter. We also found out who he wouldn't like to meet in the quarter-finals:

steel is guiding Immortals down the path they need to be to become Tier 1, an upset at iBP Masters was only the beginning of the 2nd Brazilian Powerhouse.

I don't even think SK will be #1 in their group. I think it will be; 1. Cloud9 2. SK Gaming 3. NiP But i hope it will be; 1. Heroic 2. Cloud9 3. FaZe But thats just a stupid dream lmfao Anyways, GL & HF in the opening match :-)
2016-11-17 13:00
bo1's you never know right haha i'm glad you showed you're smart didn't geting mad by my comment, so now i can speak free. it's gonna be like you said first with c9/sk battling for 1st and nip coming for 3rd, only some upset would bring up any other outcome imo GL for Atralis, hope for a final IMT/SK vs them >:]

Its no big deal man, i'm not a typical raging HLTV user haha. But yes, SK vs Astralis in the final could seriously be legendary! Its no secret that the 3 biggest scenes in the world atm is Denmark, Sweden and Brazil, if you look on the countries full potential. So many good teams in the sub top for these countries. Just to mention a few; Denmark; Dignitas, Heroic, Astralis, Tricked, Singularity, Alpha & Rogue. + Karrigan and Aizy from FaZe & Pimp from Liqiud. Sweden; NiP, Fnatic, Godsent, Epsilon, Crowns & AK 47 Brazil; SK, Immortals, Luminasity, g3x, Pain & INTZ I think the future will bring some extremely amazing teams from these 3 countries.
2016-11-17 13:50
man, i was talking about danish cs yesterday with a friend, we were talking about the talent pool you guys got but yet never achieved a major so, in your opinion, what would be the danish dream team?

I really thing that SK can easilly beat C9 on a BO1. They only struggle on BO3. You can see it on ESL PL, the beat C9 on group stage 16-8 on Dust2, but they lost to C9 on finals and also lost the same map. So I think it'll be 1-SK 2-Cloud 9 3- NiP but I hope it will be; 1- SK 2- NiP 3- FaZe lul
