Epsilon and iGame to WCA 2016 finals

The Betway WCA 2016 EU Main Qualifier has been brought to an end, with Epsilon and iGame.com grabbing the two EU spots for the $200,000 WCA 2016 World Finals.

The European qualifier for WCA 2016 started back in August with a 16-team group stage, and teams such as mousesports and Dignitas joining the tournament when the best-of-three playoff phase kicked off.

In the end, the semi-finals that decided the two spots for the $200,000 LAN finals in China came down to two matches: Gambit - iGame.com and Space Soldiers - Epsilon.

Epsilon wll be traveling to China for the WCA World Finals

The first match ended up being a huge upset, as the team in possession of a Legends spot for the upcoming ELEAGUE Major—Gambit—lost to the Finns of iGame.com.

The CIS team's latest pickup and legendary Natus Vincere player Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko was struggling the most, ending the series with a -22 Kill-Death difference over the two maps.

In the second semi-final, Epsilon once again showed up with their stand-in Karl-William "kalle" Haraldsen and had an overall good showing against Space Soldiers—who have recently replaced their IGL Tugay "TuGuX" Keskin with Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli.

The Swedes walked by Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş and co. on Cache and had a 13-2 CT half on Cobblestone, taking the deciding match of the qualification without breaking a sweat.

In the grand final of the qualifier, Epsilon and iGame.com were playing for the lion's share of the ~$33,000 prize pool.

Over Mirage and Dust2, it was the veteran André "BARBARR" Möller who was the most productive in the fragging department, but every Epsilon member chimed in their comfortable 2-0 over the Finnish side.

faze played 1 game and won against gambit but later pulled out. Astralis was also invited but i think neither Astralis nor Mouz or Dig wanted to play in this qualifier.

Epsilon has a chance to win this. The rest of qualified teams is real trash. wiki.teamliquid.net/counterstrike/World_.. its certainly the shittiest pool of teams for any 200k+ Event. Really what is this.
