I guess this is a weird thing to not like, but I prefer when tournaments try to spread out the teams from different countries. There are three non EU teams in this tournament and they're all in the same group. Maybe that's a weird criteria, I just think the group matches might be better if they swapped optic with godsent or something.

I don't think it should be country based but rather skill based. Unless godsent finally step up their game I think renegades aren't much worse than them. But now with optic and c9 in one group I don't see rng qualify. If renegades and godsent swapped it would be more fair. But with the jet lag upsets might happen but I'd doubt it. Hopefully F3 won't get destroyed :(
2016-11-22 03:52
Obviously I think it should be skill based. but I personally think these groups are pretty balanced

Yeah it's decent. But F3, Gambit and Kinguin shouldn't stand a chance where as I think renegades might be able to upset godsent if they were in the other group.

2016-11-21 23:40
a tournament which homesent actually has a chance to win
2016-11-21 23:48
Optic has a good match up against Cloud9 I think they will win against them to get out of groups in first with Cloud9 in second. Diggy will go out in first , the second place spot for that group is a toss up lets just say Godsent for argument sake. Dig vs Cloud9 will be a good game, C9 should ban out nuke and Dig will have a lot of room to ban what they want although they will probably ban cache. both teams play cobble, overpass, mirage, while Dig plays a little of Train and dust 2. this gives cloud 9 a slight advantage on decided what they want to play although I think they will try to get on Train if possible. I think Dig really needs to get on overpass or Cobble to have the best chance, but this should be a great series to watch as both teams are good at both maps. optic over whoever I expect them to win they just outclass the other 3 teams maybe train for godsent but besides that I don't seem them not winning. My money is on C9 vs OpTic Final where Cloud9 takes it in 2 maps. :)
2016-11-21 23:49
Their good match up is online, not LAN.
2016-11-22 02:01

Optic has shown that they are at least tier 2 also. Gambit and F3 aren't really tier 2, even if they still have their legendary spot. They've dropped in the rankings a lot as they have performed really poorly online and haven't attended that many LANs.

Hehe, yea i understand. Godsent are so up and down, no idea what to expect from them. The fact that they won against fnatic twice in ECS shows that they clearly can play the tactical game and they have fire power... They just need to have 3-4 players performing really well (and the 1-2 playing like bots, good old fnatic times ;)). *edit* And dont get me wrong, im not saying they can win, but give some teams a hard time at least... :D
2016-11-23 11:12
lol this is the easiest tournament for c9 ive ever seen, maybe dig can win, but only if auti and stew don't show up. if ska and auti show up it's 2-0 for c9 in the finals

Dig, C9 and Optic are the clear favorites, but the "legendary" teams, Flipside and Gambit, should be really ready for this tournament, as the major is soon coming up... Renegades can always surprise and go far, but i don't see them winning against the favorites. Also Godsent has shown some signs of waking up lately, so if their star players perform well... It might go well for them. Still i see them losing to the likes of Kinguin 16-1 surprisingly and then shocking a team like Dignitas if it comes to that. A lot of inconsistent teams in the tournament, so gonna be fun to bet on the underdogs and win some €A$Y M0N€Y.
