FlipSid3 send dignitas packing at DHW

FlipSid3 have sent dignitas home after a three-map nailbiter (Train 16-14, Overpass 13-16, Nuke 16-14) in Group A's elimination match.

Dignitas got off to a great start on Train as Counter-Terrorists, picking up the pistol, two costly ecos and the first gunround for a 5-0 lead. René "cajunb" Borg then put up a quad-kill and saved a good 1v4 attempt from Denis "electroNic" Sharipov, before Georgi "WorldEdit" Yaskin's AWP ace broke the six-round streak.

Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke's two opening kills gave the Danes an eco victory, but FlipSid3 then found a way to break the defense, winning a few 2v2 afterplants as well as two anti-ecos for a solid 7-8 half.

Andrey "B1ad3" Gorodenskiy's team then also won the second pistol round, which gave them their first lead. Dignitas quickly clawed back and retook it as cajunb continued to play well while Emil "Magisk" Reif also began chiming in to get up to 14-10.

FlipSid3 turned Train around at the end

The streak came to an end once Yegor "markeloff" Markelov clutched a 1v2 and electroNic got five impactful kills over the following two gunrounds, making it even at 14-14. FlipSid3 completed the map at 16-14 after an anti-eco and WorldEdit's quad-kill.

Starting as Counter-Terrorists, FlipSid3 got off to a great start on the back of electroNic's 1v3 clutch in the pistol round. It wasn't until the sixth round when Dignitas broke the streak with a forcebuy victory before losing a very chaotic round.

The Danes still managed to start getting more rounds on the board with several comfortable executes, switching over at a comfortable 8-7 lead as Terrorists. After winning the pistol round, Dignitas also clinched the gunround due to aggressive play to make it 13-7.

FlipSid3 began clawing back again with multiple attacks towards the B site, as "" and markeloff put up triples while Jan "wayLander" Rahkonen clutched a close 1v1 for 13-11. The next two rounds were traded, which forced Dignitas on an eco. Dignitas stopped the comeback attempt in the end, as they won the last two rounds for 16-13 to force the decider, Nuke.

dignitas barely survived Overpass

wayLander put up four kills from vents in the pistol as Terrorists to help his team get up to 5-1 towards the start after the first two buys were split evenly. cajunb then picked up the pace, starting with an ace in one of the following rounds as Dignitas got their fourth round.

He went on to get four doubles over the next four rounds, which put the Danes up on an okay 9-6 half. The following pistol round went their way as well, but the forcebuy afterwards proved to be too much to handle as FlipSid3 took the advantage in economy.

WorldEdit's triple gave F3 the gunround as well, but then the teams kept trading gunrounds until Dignitas stabilized. wayLander then turned an unfavorable situation on its head with four kills, setting FlipSid3 up for success, as they won four rounds in a row afterwards to advance to Group A's decider at 16-14.

GZ to F3, well played! Not sure what happened to dignitas, they used to be very strong a while back but are now getting upset by Kinguin and F3. If RUBINO would have had a higher rating than 0.27 in train they would have most likely taken that map and won the whole match

Loss to Kinguin and bo3 loss to F3.. I would never have expected that. Epicenter looks more and more like a peak performance. Unfortunately, i was enjoying the fact that we had two possible event winning teams

This is amazing to see F3 being able to overcome the so known mental block issues when it comes to the last stages of matches and being able to close out train which they were down 10-14 or so on i think as well as to close down nuke. Sick! Gj Nt digs
