OpTic defeat NiP on Overpass

In the second match of the 1-1 pool, OpTic defeated NiP 16-9 on Overpass.

Starting on the CT side, OpTic grabbed the pistol round win to go up 3-0 after a 2v2 retake on the A bombsite in the first gunround. Jacob "pyth" Mourujärvi put up four kills in the following eco on the B bombsite, which sent OpTic on an eco while NiP evened out the score.

An eco victory went OpTic's way that time around after doubles from William "RUSH" Wierzba and Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas, but they failed to defend the next two B attacks.

RUSH's plays secured several big rounds for OpTic

Towards the end of the half, RUSH stepped up massively with three big triples in important rounds, which gave his team a 9-6 lead before they switched over to the Terrorist side.

With Keith "NAF" Markovic getting a quick triple on B in the second pistol round, OpTic got three rounds in a row and extended their advantage to 12-6. NiP then defended two attacks towards A before OpTic exchanged two more for a 14-9 lead, in one of which mixwell clutched a 1v3. That sent the Swedes on an eco and OpTic came out victorious at 16-9.

Lost to tier 3 Hellraisers. Chooses to play that map against Optic who has been dominant in this map for past few weeks. If NiP wants to lose, can't complain.

The Swedes are known for a swaghetti-yolonese playing style and have changed their in-game leader a number of times in CS:GO, though always returning to Landström at the end. © lurppis

No idea why they're playing Overpass when they're so inconsistent on it.
2016-12-17 21:30
Expected, rz, OPTIC s 1 lvl ahead of nip in all aspects, any other map would be the same

2016-12-17 21:44
NiP is still great, but feels like this qualifier will be really hard for them... if they don't get an easy draw. Too much tension. Ups and downs will always happen, they haven't really had the flow these last days. Doesn't mean they are bad or should replace half of the team.
