Liquid beat F3 16-14

Liquid defeated FlipSid3 16-14 on Overpass at the ELEAGUE Major in Atlanta.

Two teams who lost their first matches, FlipSid3 and Liquid, faced off in the fourth match of the second day at the ELEAGUE Major in Atlanta. The map was Overpass and Liquid started on the CT-side.

The team ace for Liquid brought them the pistol round and the North American team made the score 3-0 after winning the anti-ecos. The score was 5-0 when FlipSid3 won their first round and the CIS team chained three rounds together afterwards.

Liquid get their first win

Answering with a single round didn't mean much for Liquid as Andrey "B1ad3" Gorodenskiy won a 1vs1 against Spencer "Hiko" Martin. FlipSid3 secured three more rounds to get the lead despite Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski getting the first kill in two of them (7-6). Yegor "markeloff" Markelov & company won the half 9-6 after securing nine of the last ten rounds of the half.

Liquid came alive in the second half pistol round, winning a 3vs5 and tying the game at 9-9 with the anti-eco round wins. The weapon round went in FlipSid3's favor as markeloff and Denis "electronic" Sharipov combined for double kills (10-9).

The back-and-forth action continued and entry-kills in three consecutive rounds by EliGE gave his team the lead (13-11). Although FlipSid3 tied the game at 13-13, Liquid went on to win the match 16-14.

Back and forth game was close for both sides but in the end Liquid won and continue to have their chance for playoffs by getting 1-1. Feeling sad for F3 thou after such clutch markeloff did, they also keep bringing upcoming CIS talents to major scene like they did with s1mple, I hope electronic will get better and let F3 get better places as well.

waylander lost this match single handedly. At least 4 rounds lost due to pure stupidity lol. Regardless, this was just another showing that aim > strats in csgo.

You can just skip that step and rush in. There are no arguments against headshots. Works 8/10, envy even won a major based solely on this concept.
2017-01-23 21:05
yes but in 2015. its 2017 , teams have adapted , no tier 1 team will win a game vs another tier 1 team with this strat. and evy is the perfect example , they are trash versus tier 1 teams.

True to some degree, but mostly teams adapted by changing their explosion timers. Take a look at liquid this game, rare were the rounds with any type of complexity, that didn't came down to pure aim carrying them around. F3 on the other round were really structured but ended up losing aim battles more often than not and therefore the game.
2017-01-23 21:16
man , you have to distuingish tiers. f3 and liquid are tier 2 , and btw i think f3 played well actually better than liquid but waylander underperformed in important moments unfortunatelly for him. in tier 1 games on overpass , the team that plays like f3 will win 9/10.

Almost didn't lose anything but sick of these "stolen" wins Yeah, this is the description of the matches where one team wins the first pistol, can't do ANYTHING on gunrounds and get rekt hard in the first half but still wins the game JUST BECAUSE of the second pistol What a dirty way to win, hope there will be punishments for that

Waylander is one player I really like, but today he was beyond horrible. The failed awp shot must be cuz of nerves or something. I get he was trying to hide in the corner on that last play, but why try to overcomplicate it when you have two teammates rotating in a 3v2. All he has to do is watch the exit until teammates arrive lol
