wizard leaves Tainted Minds

Travis "wizard" Richardson has announced his departure from the Australian roster, Tainted Minds.

After spending over half a year with his comrades, the former Athletico player, Travis "wizard" Richardson has revealed on his twitlonger post that he is not longer a part of the active lineup due to personal circumstances and moving into a gaming house.

Excluding fellow Australian teams, Renegades and Winterfox who compete in North America full-time, Tainted Minds (ex-Athletico) became the dominant team in Australia winning all three of ESL Australia's offline events and securing the majority of the Oceanic spots for international tournaments throughout the second half of 2016.

 wizard looking for new opportunities

This roster move comes a few weeks after the squad accomplished a 3rd-4th placing at the ESEA S23 Global Challenge LAN last month. Here is what he had to say:

"Due to personal reasons and developments, regrettably, I would like to announce that I will no longer be a part of the Tainted Minds roster as moving into a gaming house is not in my best interests. This has been an emotional and difficult decision. I wish the boys every success in their future endeavours."

"I would like to thank Tainted Minds and Athletico for their amazing support. These past 6 months have been an incredible journey giving the boys and I the opportunity to travel overseas doing the thing we love. Getting out of the group stage at every overseas event we participated in is something that will not be forgotten."

"As for my CSGO career...I will always aspire to be the best and to represent this country overseas. I will seek another team to do this with once again when the right opportunity presents itself."

This leaves Tainted Minds with the following four players:

Australia Stuart "sonic" Rayner
Australia Jay "Liazz" Tregillgas
Australia Jesse "InfrequeNt" Barker
Australia Connor "chuch" Morgan

However, it has been reported that their ESEA AU Premier S24 roster has been accompanied by the additions of 1.6 veteran, Fergus "ferg" Stephenson and former Winterfox player, Christopher "dexter" Nong (despite no official news from the North American organisation since returning home to Australia in November). These two additions have yet to be revealed by the Tainted Minds organisation.

The problem is that if anything, I'd vote for Wilders as a protest vote. There is not a single legitimate party left to vote for, even though we have like a hundred of them. But I don't think they would understand what a protest vote even means, so I doubt it's even worthwhile. I'm wondering how many people made a protest vote on Trump, simply because Shillary outed poor ol' Bernie's rightful spot as the leader of the Democrats?
2017-02-03 10:52
makes sense. I guess plenty "protest voted" for him. hillary would of been the same as obama essentially and a lot didn't want that (plenty did but they didn't care to vote for her anyway). they wanted change, and they are getting a fuckin dose of change right now lmao. so they went with the wildcard. it wasn't even that so many people loved trump, it was that so many hated hillary. like you, most didn't have someone they cared to vote for so most people either didn't vote or voted third party. if it was bernie, he would of actually won. people would of went out and actually voted for him. so trump wins with 19% of the populations vote

With Splyce and acilion it was a mutual departure. Same with Liquid and S1mple when that happened. Think about these EU players coming over to NA, or any region to another. Them not being able to see any family, and conversions are probably uncommon due to timezones. It's understandable that after 6 months to a year they'd want to go back. Your autismos if you can't understand that.

He's referring to the fact that the reason why JasonR, Abe and Professor Chaos were dropped from the roster is because they didn't want to live in a gaming house.
2017-02-03 06:37
Players like pc or Abe are not valuable enough to let them play in their conditions, consider how little accomplishment they have besides qualify to Colombus, they shouldn't be allowed to have this lazy NA practice style which never works. Just look at EU players who goes to NA, they all say that NA scheduling is terrible.

You realise that these articles are written by community members? Someone from Brazil needs to step up and get a place on the HLTV team, flam3z worked hard to get himself into this position so that he could give the AU scene more exposure. Also you have TWO teams that are in the top 20 compared to OCE's one. Great job.
2017-02-03 04:45
the difference between the oceania roster and the two br teams is that br teams actually wins tournaments edit: and by the way, theres none australia team in the top20

... So you're going to completely ignore his valid point? If you want hltv to release news about Brazilian cs, then volunteer to write articles for it.
2017-02-03 05:09
@glyphiss,just ignore the guy :) sometimes Brazilian people are really hardheaded haha
2017-02-03 05:35
Well, if I knew thay volunteering is a thing, I would've done it by now, and then things could've been different. I did some article writing in the past in some BR forums and I keep up with the scene. Nothing keeps me from trying except my username (which I have to wait a few days to change back).

Dexter is in winterfox ? Wud have a better deal + more $ from a us org..
2017-02-03 09:58
"new wintercubs den! #excited @ofnuWFX @zewsyWFX @emagineWFX @supersecret5th" Ap0c's twitter on Jan 28. No mention of dex. this makes me think that he's been removed for someone a bit stronger to try and boost the team's fragging power. Could be Raz I reckon, or maybe even an American if he stays in Oz? I would post the tweet directly but I think it might be removed by hltv, so just look up on @apocWFX.
