FaZe defeat RNG 16-14 in Las Vegas
FaZe edged out Renegades on Mirage with 16-14 score to get their first win at DreamHack Masters Las Vegas.
Renegades started the match on Mirage by winning the Terrorist side pistol, but neither team managed to secure two rounds in a row until the seventh one when FaZe finally took the 4-3 lead. In their first full-buy round the Australian team decided to go for the A site, but the returnee to FaZe Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad picked up three kills from the stairs position to make the score 6-3.

After finishing the first half 11-4 down, Justin "jks" Savage and co. were in dire need of a good start—and got it thanks to atter's 1v1 clutch in the pistol round. The Swedish player woke up in the second half, picking up a multitude of high-impact kills helping his team to an 8-11 score.
The Australian team continued their strong CT side after losing one round, which resulted in FaZe's economy being reset. Off the back of that, Yaman "yam" Ergenekon's team managed to get the lead for the first time in the match by making it 13-12, but lost the following two rounds to well-coordinated B-splits. Renegades got one more round on the board but it was Finn "karrigan" Andersen and co. to take the last round and the map 16-14.
Key Moment: FaZe's force-buy win when they were 2-3 down started their winning streak on the CT side and gave them control of the first half. The round came down to Renegades overlooking Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey's position in the ladder room which got him two 5-7 kills and allowed allu to close it out with two more, using the UMP-45.
PotM: Finn "karrigan" Andersen gets the nod for the Player of the Match for his consistent contribution, server-leading 1.14 rating and two 1v2 clutches—including a key one when the score was 13-13.
