Immortals beat OpTic on Inferno
Immortals beat OpTic on Inferno, in large part thanks to winning both pistol rounds and giving up but a single round as terrorists on their way to a 16-8 final score.
The first round of the match went to the defending team, Immortals, who were able to eliminate OpTic and defuse the bomb. The Brazilians then followed it up winning the next rounds for a 3-0 lead. Down by four, OpTic were finally able to string a few rounds of their own, getting within one of Immortals.
The Brazilians were finally able to adjust their defenses, though, and were able to stabilize their economy once again after taking a 7-3 lead and forcing OpTic into a save. The American-Spanish side took the save round, though, and shifted the momentum once again, taking the following round to bring it back to 7-5 and ruining Immortals’ economy.
Immortals' strong T side gave them the win
Going into the half, Immortals were able to hold on to the lead, but only 8-7. In the second pistol round, Ricardo "boltz" Prass was able to win a 1vs1 after plant to give his team the round. After that, Immortals quickly got going and extended their lead to 10-7 after the ecos, and kept winning rounds after as a shakey OpTic couldn’t hold the map down.
Finally, William "RUSH" Wierzba and Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas with two and three kills, were able to stop a B fake to A push to get their side on the board for the first time in the second half, 8-12. Instantly, though, Immortals won the following round to put the North American side back on their heels.
The Brazilian side were able to close the match out after a very dominant terrorist side, giving up a single round for a 16-8 final score.
