IMT beat NiP, FaZe overcome OpTic
Immortals beat NiP 16-14 on Cobblestone while FaZe won their fourth match by defeating OpTic 16-12 at IEM Katowice 2017.
NiP and Immortals faced off on Cobblestone with the Swedish team starting on the T-side. Richard "Xizt" Landström got a triple kill in the first round to win it but Immortals won a 2vs4 in the following round to tie the game.
After winning the anti-ecos, the Brazilians stopped NiP's weapon round to make it 4-1. The Swedes asked for a timeout when the score was 6-1 and won a 2vs4 right afterwards (6-2). NiP's streak was halted at two rounds because of Lucas "steel" Lopes's triple kill.

Xizt answered with a triple kill and a 1vs1 clutch in the following round as his team trailed 4-7. Immortals led 8-7 at halftime. The Brazilians won the second half pistol round but ran out of time in the following round.
NiP went on a five round streak to take the lead and made it 13-11 but the T-sided Brazilians came back and won the map 16-14 thanks to a 3vs5 in the last round. With this result, Immortals improved their record to 3-1 while NiP got their fourth loss in as many matches.
Train was the battleground for the match between OpTic vs. FaZe. The North American team who started on the T-side picked up the pistol round but lost a 3vs2 in the following round. FaZe were victorious in the anti-eco rounds which extended their lead to 3-1.
Oscar "mixwell" Cañellas found entry-kills in back-to-back rounds and OpTic used these man advantages to tie the game at 3-3.FaZe got back into it by getting their fourth round but OpTic reset their opponents, leading 7-4 after Spencer "Hiko" Martin's triple kill. Finn "karrigan" Andersen won the last round of the half by defusing the bomb in a 1vs1 against Hiko who couldn't find his opponent inside the smoke grenade (9-6).
Hiko & company won the second half pistol round to make it 10-6 but FaZe responded with three rounds. Hiko secured a quad kill to put OpTic back on track (11-9). Aleksi "allu" Jalli got three AWP entry kills which sparked a three round streak for FaZe. FaZe went on to win the map 16-12, improving their record to 4-0.
