Last photos from Katowice day one

We uploaded final batch of photos from IEM Katowice day one following Group A coming to a close with the tiebreaking matches.

Group A was shaping up throughout the day, but the three playoffs teams weren't decided until the very last match, when Astralis, FaZe, and Immortals all finished the group with four wins and one loss.

An additional round of tiebreakers played in overtime settings (mr3, $10,000 startmoney) determined the playoffs seeding. In the end, FaZe picked up two victories on Train to clinch first place in the group and a semi-finals spot, and Astralis defeated Immortals in the last to grab second place, leaving the Brazilians third.

We chose some of the best photos we shot throughout the second half of the day:

I've rarely seen this fnatic line-up look so down after a loss, even when nV eliminated them at Cluj-Napoca they looked more stunned than crushed.
2017-03-02 04:02
They shouldn't look stunned, they were having months of bad results prior to cluj.
2017-03-02 07:27
I think it had more with the fact that they thought they would definitely win against nV. Plus even with a streak of bad results, when you practice hard for a major you expect it to pay off so you can be surprised if it doesn't go how you thought it would. But when I say they looked stunned it's really just my impression, maybe they weren't.

why all swedish crying?
2017-03-02 04:05
Because they win first 2 games and only need 1 more win to the next round... But they blew up remaining match instead... It's better to lose like optic or nip because they know they won't qualify anyway Rather than giving fake hope like fnatic
