TheMongolz invited to ZEN League

TheMongolz from Mongolia, become the final team to complete the list for the upcoming ZEN Esports Network League in the Asia-Pacific region.

The last thing we heard on TheMongolz was the return of Enkhtaivan "Machinegun" Lkhagva to the active lineup in December 2016, filling in the void left by Temuulen "Zilkenberg" Battulga's departure and his whereabouts are currently unknown.

The Mongolians first broke out into the international scene last year by winning IEM Taipei 2016 over the Australian Renegades led by Chad "SPUNJ" Burchill at the time.

Nine months later, the core roster without Machinegun (who was in Splyce), grabbed their second international title by winning ROG Masters Asia in November, which consisted of teams from Asia and Australia.

ZEN League will be the first tournament for TheMongolz this year

In the announcement, this is what Tsog "Tsogoo" Mashbat had to say on the matter:

"For me ZEN League is the league that we were waiting for a long time. Because this league gives a chance for Oceania and Asian teams to face each other. And it'll be the first tournament in 2017 for us. We'll play with our best and will try to win the title."

With TheMongolz receiving the invitation to compete, the participants are as followed:

Australia Tainted Minds Australia Chiefs Australia Immunity Australia Dark Sided
Indonesia Recca Korea MVP PK Malaysia JYP Mongolia TheMongolz

The long-awaited ZEN League will commence on March 7th onwards. You can tune in at ESL's main twitch channel here. To stay up-to-date with the league, make sure to check our event page (which will include the schedule shortly).

immunity vs mongolz hype mongolz moved into a team 'house' and partnered with the biggest ISP in Mongolia, hopefully they'll get better ping during the online portion edit: also, zilkenberg is on a new team called KhARUM

not sure why they'd have something big in AU, when the timing is shit for the rest of the world, and that there's a much smaller fanbase there than in NA or EU
