FaZe are the fifth team confirmed for the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) stop in Sydney, ESL has revealed.
The European team join SK Gaming, Renegades, Astralis and OpTic, who were all previously invited to the event.
FaZe made headlines in February as they signed Nikola "NiKo" Kovač from mousesports for an undisclosed fee. The Bosnian prodigy has proved to be an instant sensation for his new team, who placed second at the IEM World Championship, their first event with the new lineup.
Joining the five teams confirmed so far will be three other sides. One of them will be invited by ESL, while the remaining two will come from Chinese and Oceanic qualifiers.
The list of participants for the event currently looks as follows:

IEM Sydney will take place from May 6-7 at the Qudos Bank Arena and will feature a prize fund of approximately $200,000.
