hazed to fill in for Liquid in iBP Inv.

Former CLG member James "hazed" Cobb has been registered by Team Liquid for the upcoming iBUYPOWER Spring Invitational cup.

The 27-year-old will step into the shoes of Jacob "Pimp" Winneche, who played on Wednesday his final match for Liquid after handing in a transfer request.

James "hazed" Cobb has been without a team since January, when he stepped down from CLG's roster, putting an end to a two-year association with the North American organisation.

Any team would be afraid to use someone with little to no LAN experience. I don't know whether that's justified, but LAN experience is a big deal for teams.
2017-03-31 13:24
this isnt lan, just btw

Yeah this is online but look at Stewie he went pro in 2 years and he had no lan experience

I'm not quite sure about his history, but I see he started his LAN experience with SKDC? They aren't the most prolific teams out there, so no big surprise to me. Never forget the negative backlash when he joined C9 though: hltv.org/news/16769-cloud9-sign-stewie2k
2017-03-31 14:08
stewie is the exception that confirms the rule. was a totally lucky break for c9 that he turned out decent (or really good in context of NA). doesnt mean that we have to look at onliners and pugstars now as if all of them could be like stewie.
2017-03-31 14:31
Eu teams are more likely to pick up less experienced players. Just i feel like NA needs new faces.

They're stubborn and live in decline :) It's not like trying out new players would drive this org into bankruptcy or anything, yet they still insist on trialing washed out pros who have never achieved anything on a major scale
2017-03-31 16:51
Right? They keep bringing in players who have been around and haven't really done anything significant. There's plenty of talented players in Rank S/Rank G that aren't toxic and actually know how to play solid CS:GO. Give them a shot! Some of these kids are busting their asses, I have a feeling a lot of these "Hazed" type players are sitting around pugging a few times a day not putting in the work necessary to compete at the top level in 2017.

most young players are too busy trying to be 'star players'. whoever Liquid picks up will be replacing Pimp who played a support role and all the shitty spots.
2017-03-31 22:51
there are young good players who are enablers not only stars.
2017-04-01 12:07
Hazed is actually decent though Washed up should refer to players like Sgares, Shahzam, Semphis, Hiko
2017-03-31 19:55
Not a bad stand in tbh - just hope he isn't the player who is joining Liquid. Twistzz really deserves to be in Liquid

2017-03-31 13:08
Twistzz is young af and looks hungry to win. With his individual skill, determination and attitude he would be a very highly wanted player by top teams. He would no doubt adapt to any role he would be given in Liquid.

doesnt really matter liquid suck online and will get bodied by C9

At the current moment Liquid suck everywhere lol. They got hard bodied at the major. Well, every NA team did tbf

Liquid didn't do bad at the major. They probably should have beaten EnVyUs and FaZe respectfully. They just got fucking dismantled by Astralis in the decider before the playoffs.
2017-04-01 04:18
Nearly taking Flipsid3 to overtime LOL. If it wasn't for that jdm GOD round, that would have been 16-9 for EnVyUs. That's a body imo for what they should be doing. When the only team you can take cleanly is mousesports, you're a shit team.

They're not a shit team. They did much better then they should have at the Eleague Major. They were supposed to get bodied like HR but they ended up being competitive and making it to the group decider matches.
2017-04-01 20:23
LOL. That's hilarious. I'm glad you think top 3 NA is supposed to be getting bodied by HellRaisers but making group decider is an achievement. Goes to show just how trash NA is. Top 3 NA should be getting out of groups with relative ease at majors. Maybe making semis and the odd major finals.

They never got bodied by Hellraisers. They didn't even play them. NA isn't SUPPOSED to do anything. The top 3 in NA have NEVER been capable of going deep in majors. Liquid and Complexity are the only NA teams to ever have a deep run in to the majors.
2017-04-01 22:38
That was a mistype by me. Didn't mean to say bodied by HellRaisers, meant to say bodied LIKE HellRaisers. And NA has a good pool of talent and skill. If NA actually placed the correct pieces together and did their practice the correct way, with the correct priorities (winning being number 1), we SHOULD be top 10 and getting out of groups of majors at least. Deep major runs shouldn't be the norm for NA but going out of groups sure as hell shouldn't be either. But the way NA works with its culture, it IS the norm.
2017-04-02 01:19
nice replace Kappa
2017-03-31 16:36
Oh god.
2017-03-31 16:40
Kinda like him, hope he didnt slack that much and eventually will show up. Dont think he will stay in liquid (but who knows), but maybe in some other decent team? If he does ok.
2017-03-31 18:15
should of picked up chuti
2017-03-31 19:11
I can see Hazed being a solid addition if he ever joins CLG/CoL or optic.
2017-03-31 19:53
so rip,lmao
2017-03-31 20:06
I understand they might want a support player so why not try to get like cutler from clg.
