GODSENT qualify for EPL S6

The Swedish team GODSENT qualified for the upcoming season of ESL Pro League by finishing first in the ESEA Premier playoffs, beating BIG 2-0 (16-10 Mirage, 16-10 Cache) in the finals.

The playoffs of ESEA Premier have been brought to an end tonight as Markus "pronax" Wallsten's GODSENT defeated BIG to take the first place in the European division and secure promotion to ESL Pro League.

GODSENT was placed on the side of the bracket opposing Gambit and Space Soldiers and started off the playoffs by facing their countrymen Epsilon in the quarter-finals. With a comfortable 2-0, Jonas "Lekr0" Olofsson and co. moved on to the next round where they were to face Spirit (both matches ended 2-1).

GODSENT didn't drop a map in the ESEA Premier playoffs

The Russian team wasn't a bigger challenge for the Swedes, and another 2-0 victory followed, setting GODSENT up for a grand final match with BIG who had to work a bit harder for their victories against Gambit and PENTA.

Despite their hot streak in the league portion of ESEA Premier where they finished first with a 13-3 record, BIG struggled against GODSENT in the final. The Swedes took 10 Terrorist rounds in the first half of Mirage, allowing themselves enough rounds to comfortably close out the map before moving on to BIG's map pick, Cache.

The German side had a better start on the second map, but ultimately couldn't secure a strong CT side, finishing it off with only eight rounds. After the switch, GODSENT took nine CT rounds, including an eco, to secure another 2-0 victory in the playoffs and an ESL Pro League Season 6 spot.

they won against vp in last major on cubblestone.
2017-04-17 21:53
Any team can upset a Tier 1 team on the right day. Wouldn't call a single bo1 win "shitting on t1 teams"

NiP isn't in realistic danger. LDLC need to take both remaining maps against NaVi, fat chance of that happening. Kinguin needs to beat north 2-0, not gonna happen. Also, VP will probably beat heroic 2-0. So that leaves envyus to be able to push above, seriously doubt it but I don't know who they got left.
2017-04-17 21:00
Oh look, a nip hater, how original. You have teams like LDLC, kinguin and Heroic in the league, why hate on nip, neither of those teams deserv pro league.

When Kinguin, LDLC and Heroic qualified it was wasted spots indeed.

how who would you have instead
2017-04-18 22:16
Wait, did you call NIP the wasted spot? So are you actually claiming that those teams are better than NIP? Wow there is just no end to the unwarranted hate NIP is getting from hltv kids. But to answer your question: Godsent and Gambit is a no brainier to take over LDLC and Kinguin. Heroic is borderline but they could stay.

no i didnt no im not gambit can't win against t4 teams in premier so they dont get to qualify for pro league pretty simple godsent are going to epl s6 so thats invalid kinguin are being relegated because theyre not good enough (still not a wasted spot) and if ldlc arent good enough then they'll lose their relegation games and go to premier
2017-04-19 01:18
Then I misunderstood your first comment, sorry about that. What did you mean?

godsent did a awful season, BIG deserved this, also some godsent players played with ex-cheater emilio en CPH Games, they don't deserve this
2017-04-17 21:30
So? Emilio have been playing with many players last year (NiP draken to) and first now people notice. Then you must think that french scene don't deserve win since they play with Happy?

They step up during the season. So much potential, yet pronax can't seem to unlock it.
