PGL has revealed the first details about the qualifying process for the Americas Minor.
Scheduled for June 8-11, the Americas Minor will feature eight teams, two invited and six qualified, who will duke it out for a piece of a $50,000 prize pool and two spots at the offline qualifier for the PGL Krakow Major.
One of the qualified teams will hail from the South American open qualifier, which is open to 512 teams and will feature a single-elimination format.
Immortals are invited to the Americas Minor
The remaining five teams will come from the North American qualifiers, which will consist of two stages: an open bracket and a closed tournament. The top eight teams from the open cup will move on to the closed qualifier, in which they will be joined by eight invitees.
Immortals have earned a direct spot at the Americas Minor, with the other invitee due to be revealed by PGL shortly.
