PGL has revealed the first details about the qualifying process for the Americas Minor.

Scheduled for June 8-11, the Americas Minor will feature eight teams, two invited and six qualified, who will duke it out for a piece of a $50,000 prize pool and two spots at the offline qualifier for the PGL Krakow Major.

One of the qualified teams will hail from the South American open qualifier, which is open to 512 teams and will feature a single-elimination format.

Immortals are invited to the Americas Minor

The remaining five teams will come from the North American qualifiers, which will consist of two stages: an open bracket and a closed tournament. The top eight teams from the open cup will move on to the closed qualifier, in which they will be joined by eight invitees.

Immortals have earned a direct spot at the Americas Minor, with the other invitee due to be revealed by PGL shortly.

Below you can find the schedule for the qualifying process for the Minor:

April 27-29 South American Open Qualifier
May 5-6 North American Open Qualifier
May 13-14 North American Closed Qualifier

This is unfair AF, SA should havê our own minor, and give at least one spot to the major qualifier
2017-04-22 21:25
Colombians Venezuelans Guatemaltecans and Ecuatorians can all choose between what region to play in, N.A with 40ms to 110ms ping or South American Brasil servers with +200ms ping. They can choose because faceit states that a country that's not in the region can't compete in it, but those countries are technically part of both regions xd
2017-04-24 05:43
But it would be a worse ping anyway
2017-04-22 21:14
Life is unfair sometimes m8. Look what FalleN needed to do back on 2015 to qualify for his first major :/
2017-04-22 21:11
time for immortals to go back to SA LUL
