Signature, 7642 through to Asia Minor

Thai duo Signature Gaming and 7642 have secured spots at the Asia Minor Championship after reaching the semi-finals of the India and SEA qualifier.

Hosted by SoStronk, the qualifier featured 128 teams from India and Southeast Asia, who competed in a single-elimination bracket for the chance to attend the upcoming Minor.

Signature secured a spot in the final after a sensational run that culminated with 2-0 victories over BOOT-d[S] and Imperium in the best-of-three stages of the tournament.

From the other half of the bracket came 7642, also hailing from Thailand. Phoomphat "qqGOD" Phodjanat's team defeated Malaysian side JYP and Cong "crazyguy" Anh Ngo's Recca in the final two rounds by 2-0 scorelines to ensure themselves of a top-two finish.

The Thai duo will join previously qualified teams TheMongolz and Spotnet, and four other sides at the Asia Minor, which will be held in China from June 1-4. The top two teams from this $50,000 competition will advance to the offline qualifier for the PGL Krakow Major.

The team list for the Minor currently looks as follows:

nice logic so we should have more spots for African countries at minors because there's a lot of African countries? SEA and India scene is shit so they don't deserve more spots
2017-04-28 19:18
Mate, they have 2 slots for like 10-15 countries.Whats wrong ? none of these teams make it to the offline qualifier anyways...and definitely not the major. Same old tyloo renegades will make it. plus invite include 1 chinese team for sure
