Immortals beat Liquid in Austin

The second opener in DreamHack Open Austin’s Group B went the way of Immortals, who were able to beat Liquid on Inferno, 16-11

Immortals, starting on the defending side, were the first team to get on the board, in large part thanks to doubles by Lucas "steel" Lopes and Lincoln "fnx" Lau. Liquid were close to taking the eco, after planting on A and holding it down to a 1vs1, but finally Henrique "HEN1" Teles was able to clutch it out and keep the Brazilian team’s superiority.

The first gun round ended with a 2vs2 after plant on A, but once again Immortals were able to give a little bit more than their North American opponents to keep the match in their favor.

Liquid were able to get one round in the seventh round of the match, but were immediately reset for a 7-1 partial. Despite playing with Tec9 and UMPs, Liquid were able to break into A after getting the opening frag and were able to make the bomb explode to get another round on the board.

hen1 & co. sent Liquid to the losers' match

Null element then got an ace, opening the round with a double and getting the last three after the plant, forcing Immortals on an eco and getting Liquid back in the game. The next round, though, HEN1 was able to ninja defuse in a 1vs1 against Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz, to increase their lead to 8-3.

After a 10-5 half for Immortals, the Brazilians were able to win the pistol round without losing a single player. Once again, though, Liquid won the eco to stop Immortals from running away.

A slow play from Immortals gave the Brazilians the first gun round after planting on A and forcing Nick "nitr0" Cannella and stanislaw to save their guns. Liquid were able to reach double digits and bring it within two, 12-10, but were unable to bring it back as the Brazilians closed the match out 16-11.

I really don't want Immortals to do well here.
2017-04-28 21:32
why?
2017-04-28 21:34
hen1 cheats and he cheated with the headset thing which is just disgraceful - they should have been banned permanently from competitions for that. I feel bad for fnx, steel and boltz but the other two are rlly annoying.

No you are dumb for being incapable to answer me back with anything apart from cussing. There is no excuse for the headset thing - if this was a real sport they would have been at least disqualified and temporarily suspended

Yeah, just like the New England Patriots got disqualified from the Super Bowl after they deflated those footballs! Oh wait...
2017-04-28 21:44
I don't watch NA football so can't comment on that but in most sports something as blatant cheating as that would be a disqualification/temp ban/perm ban/major fines.

sorry but delusional its not an insult like you said, if you really think this way, yes you're delusional as fuck
2017-04-28 21:43
commenting 'delusional' as your only word as a response is meant to be an insult or at least is implying that what i am saying is bs. Shame that you are incapable of actually giving a reasoning to ur statement tho cuz u aint got none lol

Exactly, you're talking shit but was not an insult, but then ... what are your arguments? Should they be banned because hen1 headset was a bit off the ear? When you start talking like an adult, we can talk better.
2017-04-28 21:47
I believe that it was extremely unfair that HEN1s headset was off in a final of a tournament which gave them a tremendous advantage and knowledge about the economy, positioning of enemies, health etc and can easily define a game let alone rounds. Not only did he blatantly cheat here but he also lied claiming its an 'accident' when there is no way that it could be an accident. I think for that someone should either: Get perm banned, get temp banned, get disqualified, get kicked and get fined heavily. He should obviously be disqualified and some of the rest should occur to. Also asking me to be an adult when you do the opposite? lol

The point is, did they do something illegal to be banned? Why did not he go? Did they find it cool and decided not to ban? So in my opinion it's rather delusional to think. This is something old, and you, as hater, continue to hit this key, I bet it was some player of your nationality, you would not think this way. So you keep your opinion and I keep mine. No problem.
2017-04-29 14:49
You have to take the L here. hen1 was caught not once, but twice not wearing his headset. One instance of which wasnt even on his head. You cant defend that

It is not meant an insult but criticism, What exactly is "Insulting" for you? Because for me "delusional" is someone who is not thinking clearly, when someone believes something to be the exact opposite of what it actually is. And you call me illiterate just because of that, stfu
