Astralis beat Chiefs

Astralis secured their first win in the Swiss group stage with a 16-5 scoreline on Inferno against Chiefs.

In the third match of the day, the home team Chiefs picked up the first round with Tyler "tucks" Reilly clutching a 1v3 while defending the planted bomb on B. Astralis quickly replied with a forcebuy win, taking off to a 3-1 lead at the beginning.

Thanks to Liam "malta" Schembri's double entry on banana, the Australian side came out on top of the first gunround, but the economy reset came in right afterwards, as the Danes went on a seven-round streak for 10-2.

Astralis join North and SK in the 1-0 pool

In the last three rounds, Astralis' aggression backfired as Alistair "aliStair" Johnston kept getting picks with the AWP, including a couple of won duels against Nicolai "device" Reedtz in middle, and Chiefs switched over to CT's with five rounds.

A pistol round victory pushed Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander's to 13-5 and the following gunround secured match point for the Danes, and soon after the 16th round.
