SK grind past North, 16-14

SK and North, two first round winners, played on Cobblestone to try and get one step closer to the playoffs. Finally, it was the Brazilian side coming out on top after 30 rounds, 16-14.

The second match of the second round started out with North winning the pistol round on CT side, but SK thanks to a big quad kill by Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo. The Brazilian side was then able to take the 3-1 lead, but were unable to further extend their lead in the fifth round.

With North having taken the lead, 4-3, René "cajunb" Borg held long A with four kills with the AWP to further extend the Danish team’s lead. In keeping the match close and chaotic, SK won a pistol buy to get the match back within one round, 5-4.

With the match tied back up at 5-5, SK started to grab momentum in the half, and took the lead once again, 6-5, but were then once again stopped by North on a force buy, further destabilizing the half.

SK on the brink of making it to the playoffs with a 2-0 record

With 6-6 on the board, SK were able to get a plant, but Philip "aizy" Aistrup was able to get the best of FalleN in a 1vs1 to get North back in the driving seat, 7-6. Once again, aizy and FalleN found themselves in another 1vs1 after plant, and once again the Danish player clutched it out to take control of the half.

Down 9-6, SK won the crucial second pistol round to tie it back up before the first gun round. SK got the 10-9 lead, but once again aizy won a 1vs1 to get the match tied back up. SK then were able to chain a few rounds in a row to establish a solid lead, 13-10.

North started to mount a comeback, though, and got the match all the way to 14-14 with smart calculated attacks. The Brazilians were finally able to stick it out, though, winning the fifteenth round to get on match point. Three AWP kills in the last round by Epitacio "TACO" de Melo gave SK the last round, for a 16-14 final score.

Let's compare IGL stats to see why North lost this match. Fallen - IGL SK - 25 frags and 81 ADR MSL - IGL North - 10 frags and 51 ADR Now it all makes sense...
2017-05-03 15:26
Wow! Honestly came closer than expected. North seemed very lost in the first part of the second half, but nearly came back!

North won the first pistol but lost the anti eco right after and then lost the next pistol in second half, k0nfig just handed the game to sk. so it's just my opinion that It was abit of luck since it ended 16-14, But it's deffo deserved, not sk's fault that North can't win important rounds.

so, when aizy win 2 1vX situations in a row on first half with Fallen missing a bunch of AWP shots is because FalleN is a bot not because Aizy is luck. but when K0fing misses easy shots and forgots to realod his gun at a target that wasnt even looking his way is because SK was luck and not because K0nfig played like a bot? makes sense bro! double standards xD

it is actually the same thing, Fallen missed a bunch of easy shots, that had nothing to do with luck, same for K0nfig he missed a bunch of easy shots and forgot to reload his gun both were bad plays by the players and it has nothing to do with luck, just bad plays.

It's actually not the same, aizy vs fallen was a fair battle that aizy just did better in, the k0nfig round was a complete throw, he should never had lost that.

it wasn't a fair battle at all, Aizy was on a 1vX situation and he still won the round because fallen missed a bunch of easy shots, how is being on a 1vX situation a fair battle? btw player doing a bad play =/= enemy team having luck luck is when you're on a 1v1 situation and you get the player with his back turned to you, but if somehow you manage to fuck up and end up not killing the player (like k0nfig did) it has nothing to do with luck just you being bad.

Another delusional Br. MSL -17 (0.42), by the same logic one could argue that North would've won if MSL just played slightly better. He's bad, but usually not this bad.
2017-05-03 13:34
Are u dumb? Are you comparing MSL with coldzera? The latter ALWAYS delivers. Its just not normal a game link this for him, thats why I said it. Just check his stats, SWEEDIE MUSLIM WHORE

Even within sk, fer has been better than him this year. Yeah cold has better stats from grinding out lower opposition, but fer has played much better against tier1 teams. When the going gets tough the tough get going.

Yes it may be, I think fer is playing better this year, but it is certain that cold remains among the 5 best in the world, and yes he has still got the credit of having been the best last year.
2017-05-03 16:04
Id probably rate him top5, but its tough this year, snax, niko, xyp9x, etc. But probs still top5 due to consistency.
2017-05-03 16:44
No, I'm not comparing him to cold. I'm calling out the logic behind his statement. Are you guys really so delusional/ignorant that you're unable to see this, or are you simply too dumb?
