Savage returns to ViCi, JeXeN out

Two days after they failed to qualify for the Asia Minor, ViCi have announced a roster change: Bin "Savage" Liu will be returning to the team, replacing LinXiao "JeXeN" Wang.

ViCi's current roster was assembled in February of this year, when the veteran AWPer Bin "⁠Savage⁠" Liu lost his spot in the first team after some underwhelming performances.

The 28-year-old is returning to ViCi's first squad

The new ViCi team had some good results online, but after going out with a 0-3 record at IEM Sydney and failing to qualify for the Asia Minor due to a 2-1 loss to Flash, the Chinese side has decided to go for a roster change. ViCi have recalled Savage to the first team, making way will be LinXiao "⁠JeXeN⁠" Wang who wasn't able to assert himself in the crucial games.

Along with Savage, BingYuan "⁠tb⁠" Li will be joining ViCi once again, now serving as a coach.

Don't think so, more like Flash > TyLoo > ViCi. I know BnTeT is a monster in TyLoo and all of that, but I've a feel Flash are the more structured team. Also they just beat ViCi in the China Minor Qualifier. Can't wait to see how Flash & TyLoo perform in the Asia Minor, hopefully both teams can go trough.

We will see in the minor, the internationally proven players in flash is attacker and fancy1 (and fancy was always underwhelming vs international competition out of all his tyloo mates though), loveyy also had good performances on vici on the international scene. kaze never had a chance to be on the big stage yet and karsa has not proven that he can keep his fragging up vs better teams (he probably is the weakest link on the team and sometimes even struggles vs chinese competition but he is the IGL of flash) Tyloo has their problems as well, HZ has been around since 1.6 and he was slow to start on tyloo but recently has shown that he has potential and can pull his weight in international lans (maybe just slow to adjust?) and BnTeT is a big question mark, if he can play the way he does vs real tier 1/2 competition then china might finally have their first major team. Is he the real deal, can he be the asian NiKo/s1mple? SOMEBODY and DD we know are already good and can hold their own vs the best, the other problem is captainMo has had poor form lately especially since he took over IGLing from DD (it seems IGLing does take its toll on players, as DD was slumping as a IGL until he transferred the role to mo, who is now slumping).

Maybe because most of chinese players too arrogant? Like all of tyloo players hate savage and fancy always talking shit about him even in stream. There are many good chinese players like gas, bottle, qka, shuadapai too

China doesn't mind going outside for their talent as long as they are skilled (look at the LoL/dota china scene, they just throw as much money as they can to the other top asian players like from korea etc) and can play in a chinese team (which is why they go for other asians as opposed to NA/EU players who wouldn't be able to communicate at all). Chinese scene has a lot of good talent but it is spread all around because of politics and players who have stubborn likes/dislikes about who to play with and only wants to play with their friends. Even current top teams of China were formed and created through the player's selective preferences of who they get along with and want to play with (Flash Gaming/Tyloo/ViCi/5power). Tyloo if BnTeT is the real deal is probably the closest thing to a chinese super team but although their roster looks good on paper, they are still a big question mark and inconsistent in actuality.
