HR remain in EPL, VP to Premier

HellRaisers have avoided relegation from ESL Pro League by beating both Penta and BIG in the relegation playoffs.

The double-elimination playoff bracket pitted HellRaisers against PENTA in the first round of the relegation playoffs. PENTA, who were fresh of a victory at the ESEA Global Challenge LAN, were blown out of the water by the Eastern European side with a convincing 2-0.

bondik was a big factor in the deciding game

HellRaisers' series against BIG started rough, with the German side managing a comeback on Cobblestone to close out the first map in their favor. On Overpass, Fatih "gob b" Dayik's continued their strong from and got off to a 7-1 lead, but they let HellRaisers come back into the match, with a Patrik "Zero" Žúdel clutch on A playing a pivotal part to HR's resurgence.

After closing out the second map with a 10-0 CT side, HellRaisers went 13-2 on the CT half of Train, leaving BIG no room for a comeback after winning the Terrorist side pistol. The score was 16-2 in the end, with a 2-1 for the series.

In the lower bracket, the legendary Polish side Virtus.pro was fighting to avoid relegation against the European mixture PENTA after losing to BIG 2-0 in the first match. Despite losing to HellRaisers in their first match of ESL Pro League, PENTA's form was still fairly good considering their LAN win last weekend.

After two tight maps, it was the underdog side lead by the Finnish duo Jesse "zehN" Linjala-Miikka "suNny" Kemppi that took the victory, keeping their Pro League dream alive and relegating Virtus.pro to ESEA Premier for the next season.

Welp, looks like EPL is going to 16 team now. What's kinda funny about this though is that VP lost to PENTA in the season 3 relegation match as well. PS: Innocent #1 Polish player.

yes they wont because they dont care about winning if they keep making money from throwing but they need to kick taz to win again

If they get more money from throwing that actuall winning then what's the point of winning?! Ur tears are so salty

Well unless the teams have options to cancel the contract due to performance (I highly doubt that) they would still have to pay Taz for 3 more years. I know there's lots of money in CS these days but still.. That doesn't sound very realistic. If Taz goes, it has to be a mutual agreement between him and the org.
2017-05-18 15:24

Mate There are only 2 leagues,ECS and EPL. VP get invited to the rest. Lot of other teams dont make it to ECS/EPL finals. You have no idea about how invites are done. " if they keep performing bad at lans they wont get invited either" ^ THIS IS NOT HOW IT HAPPENS @H@H@@H@H@H@ If that was the case, they would have stopped inviting NIP in 2014. Its about the org and the contacts.Thats why Immortals barely get invited....Space Soldiers never get invited

2017-05-18 07:49
How did vp lose motivation so hard in such a short time? I wonder what happened. Too much girls and drugs most likely, with shit load of cash to splash around with.
2017-05-18 08:11
lol nah, byali maybe but the rest are just getting old as balls and want to spend time with their families snax idk, he's the only one that seems to try at least
2017-05-18 09:54
I guess you're right and there's nothing wrong with it. It just doesn't make sense, to go from a team that's giving the top 3 hell on LAN anytime to a team that's getting trashed by unheard of teams. Teams like PENTA and BIG are like "oh, we need to have better stats, yeah, sure, we're vs vp, ez 2:0 for us lol". It can't be the lack of skill, it has to be motivation. I don't know how their management is fine with this lack of results for such a long time already.
2017-05-18 10:50
if they don't make it to playoffs at least in the upcoming big LANs and the Major, I expect Taz and NEO to retire. it's not fair to younger players such as Snax and byali to be held back by the older member's lack of motivation (and skill, for that matter)

Looks like vp don't even give a damn for their fans or the game anymore.. Just like they are hunting the last money they can take.

Does BIG get to go PRO since they beat VP? Or since they were 2nd in premier and lost to Penta does Penta get the spot? I assume BIG would since they beat a pro team and Penta did not?
