CLG secure DH Summer spot

CLG have qualified for DreamHack Summer after defeating Renegades 2-1 in the final of the North American qualifier (16-13 on Cobblestone, 8-16 on Mirage and 16-13 on Cache).

The opening round of the qualifier brought a major upset as Misfits -, who had acquitted themselves really well at DreamHack Tours, finishing third-fourth - fell short against ownage, a mix team led by David "DAVEY" Stafford.

In the last-four stage, CLG edged past Luminosity on three maps, with Ricardo "Rickeh" Mulholland and Kenneth "koosta" Suen leading the charge, to set up a final against Renegades, who beat ownage 2-0.

CLG are the second North American team confirmed at DH Summer

The first map of the final, Cobblestone, saw CLG pull off a sensational second-half comeback after taking just four rounds on the Terrorist side. Mirage was a one-sided map, with Renegades conceding just four rounds in both halves, powered by a strong individual display from Noah "Nifty" Francis. The former Selfless player was also on fire on Cache, picking up 34 frags, but it was not enough to prevent CLG from taking the map.

Final team list looks broken on mobile. Long team names like mousesports are placed below the flag, which is in turn shifted up, making it look bad
