Immortals add kNg; on trial

Immortals have announced the addition of Red Reserve sniper Vito "kNg" Giuseppe, who will try out for the team.

After Lincoln "⁠fnx⁠" Lau departed Immortals' active roster a little over a week ago, the Brazilian squad initially set their sights on k1ck's João "⁠horvy⁠" Horvath, as HLTV.org reported following the news.

However, the team decided to go another route in the end, with Vito "⁠kNgV-⁠" Giuseppe joining Immortals on a trial basis instead.

kNg's addition raises questions about Immortals' distribution of AWPing duties going forward

The 22-year-old played for Red Reserve before he, Caike "⁠caike⁠" Costa, and Jean-Michel "⁠mch⁠" D'Oliveira decided to step down from the active lineup in early May, with kNgV- stating that he was "open to negotiations" with organizations interested in buying him out of his contract.

For the time being, Red Reserve loaned him out to Immortals as kNgV- will try out for the team in the near future.

His commitment to Immortals raises questions surrounding the team's distribution of roles going forward, due to their new member's dedication to the sniper rifle on his previous teams.

Immortals now field the following team:

Ricardo "⁠boltz⁠" Prass
Lucas "⁠LUCAS1⁠" Teles
Lucas "⁠steel⁠" Lopes
Vito "⁠kNgV-⁠" Giuseppe (trial)

Rafael "⁠zakk⁠" Fernandes (coach)

Immortals' offline debut with their new player will be at ESL Pro League Season 5 Finals, taking place from May 30 - June 4 in Dallas, Texas.

Well, they need a leader who is capable of maintaining the team calm. They have the talent but Hen1 is still choking in crucial rounds. If they get somebody like a FalleN or another experienced veteran that can support the star players then they can easily become top 7 or 5.

WOW!!!!!1 I'm so happy! kNg is a monster, he always have been... finally he gets a chance to shine to the world, and not just to Brazil. But, I'm also very curious to see how steel will manage two primary awpers... there is literally no top team with this setup nowadays. Just as a fun fact, mibr once had a lineup with three primary snipers back then: eduzin, ton and cogu. Brazil love snipers... always loved.

Looks like hen1 will need to adapt his playstyle the same way fallen did when fox was playing for SK. I'm looking forward to see how this change can impact in their game. Wrong decision. Very talented awper, but with HEN1 on the team, for sure he will play secondary awper role. As a rifler, he's just average. Also, he's very toxic and behaves like he's from gueto, so, I think Immortals will crumble after the honeymoon period is over.
