Misfits and dignitas join PEA
The Professional Esports Association (PEA) has issued a press release, announcing that Misfits and dignitas have been added to its group, joining the likes of Cloud9, Liquid and Immortals.
The news brings PEA's organisation count up to nine and marks the first additions to the association since it was created, in September 2016.
After the conflict between PEA team owners and players ended with the latter choosing ESL Pro League over the PEA League in January, the North American team association took a step back from the limelight for some time. A month after the vote was held, it was announced that the PEA Commissioner Jason Katz was leaving his position.
This is what Dignitas' CEO Jonathan Kemp had to say about the move:
"Dignitas is honored to join the existing PEA franchises in an effort to collectively work with publishers, players, the community, sponsors and media to further the development of the North American esports ecosystem."
Misfits CEO Ben Spoont added the following:
"Misfits is incredibly excited to announce our joining of the PEA alongside Dignitas. We are eager to work with our new partners to advance the ball forward on many team and player-base initiatives that we believe will have a lasting impact on the North American esports scene."
The following organizations are now a part of PEA:

PEA has no plans to have a CS:GO league. Misfits joining PEA has nothing to do with a CS:GO league/team. Read here: https://t.co/hChCe5QdGC— Sean Gares (@seangares) May 25, 2017
