naSu joins PENTA as coach
PENTA Sports have announced that Niko "naSu" Kovanen has been installed as the team's coach.
The 26-year-old has been working with the team for several weeks now, helping them to win the ESEA Season 24's MDL Global Finals and to secure a spot at the European Minor via the closed qualifier following wins over Epsilon, fnatic Academy and BIG.
In a statement, PENTA explain that Niko "naSu" Kovanen will provide "analysis, team building measures and ingame consultation for the squad", using all the experience he gleaned throughout his playing career, in which he represented some of the most successful Finnish sides, including 69°N-28°E, ROCCAT, WinFakt and ENCE.
“I’m extremely happy and thankful to be given the opportunity to work with such a talented group of players and a great organization such as PENTA," naSu said in a statement.
"I’ve been working with the players for roughly two weeks now, and I’m positively surprised and sure we will achieve great results in the future."
PENTA, who are currently ranked 20th in the world, will be attending the GeForce Cup this weekend, with their first match pitting them against Robin "robiin" Sjögren's Gatekeepers. The team will attend the event with:
