eNergy add bLacKpoisoN

Robby "bLacKpoisoN" da Loca has joined the ranks of Energy eSports, the South African organisation has announced.

As reported back in January, Bravado revealed that Robby "blackpoisoN" Da Loca was leaving the team due to receiving "offers from international teams, especially from the US".

However, the player did not join any international roster and is now playing for Energy, one of his former squad's biggest rivals in the South African scene.

From now on, Bravado will be one of bLacKpoisoN's main opponents

The 24-year-old player will be stepping into the shoes of Stefan "Nefan" Smit, who is now a free agent. Here's what Kas "CAWA" Ahmad, Energy's owner and manager, had to say about the change:

"I've been a fan of Robby’s abilities for years. Too long have we been on the receiving end of Robbys abilities whilst he was at Bravado Gaming and now I am extremely excited to see what he can do in an Energy shirt. His experience, professionalism and fragging ability will help guide the team to reach their aspirations."

HLTV.org reached out to blackpoisoN for a statement. Da Loca mentioned that he did not accept any international offers because he decided to prioritise his family's situation instead of his own, after his father was been diagnosed with cancer.

"With regards to the offers, I had a deadline to join and be in North America as league rosters were about to be locked. I tried to delay/extend the dates as long as possible to help my dad where I could as I was the only one at home. Unfortunately, I did not have enough time. After my father finished his treatment I tried to see if there was a plan that could to made to join one of the team offers I got or try approaching other teams but because rosters were locked for the rest of the season it couldn't happen." blackpoisoN said.

"After being approached by Kas, the owner of Energy eSports, we started chatting often and I started focusing more on his organization. I noticed the players individually have what it takes but there wasn't a foundation/structure and I felt that I could help do some good things if I join this roster. After having several meetings with the players, I explained my goals, passion and dedication for the game and they were all extremely excited to get started. "

With the addition of the former nerdRage and European Misfits' player to Energy, here's how the Mettlestate Galaxy CS:GO Championship's runners-up roster stands:

South Africa Dominic "Domsterr" Sampaio
South Africa Jan "takbok" Theron
South Africa Trevor "kanii" Morley
South Africa Rieghardt "flexeeee" Romatzki
South Africa Robby "blackpoisoN" Da Loca

Can he stop playing in South Africa? He wont come anywhere... Go back to Sweden or join a team in EU / NA instead of Africa..

Actually a really good player imo

Good luck to him. I can't help but wonder how much is he paid. With such serious issues in the family and need for money, I guess he wouldn't want uncertainties in the paycheck.
2017-05-30 06:40
we don't get any salaries
2017-05-30 21:23
Oh, I assumed so as I was thinking about his father's medical situation and the basic money situation in his family. Or are you people really rich ?? jk ofcourse :) I hope you guys take a lot of winning $s to ur homes. God luck mate.
2017-05-31 06:38
yeah we don't really have the financial support in South Africa for salaries, yet xD thanks!
2017-06-01 05:27
Yeah in the Indian sub-continent too. Hoping for a change for the better.
