Cloud9 crush G2, fnatic beat IMT

With a 16-4 win over G2 on Inferno, Cloud9 have picked their first win at the ESL Pro League Season 5 LAN Finals. As for fnatic and their Dallas debut, the Swedes beat Immortals 16-9 on Inferno.

Cloud9 began Inferno as Counter-Terrorists, but despite winning the pistol round, G2 were able to secure the force-buy. Nevertheless, it was the North American squad's turn to win a force round and eventually reach their fourth on the board.

autimatic had 20 kills and an 104.5 ADR during his second match in Dallas

The Frenchmen then won one more, but another round-streak was on the way for Cloud9 as they kept winning rounds for a 7-2 lead – and 9-3 shortly afterward.

Even though G2 won another round, Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert and co. had a dominating first half as they finished it off 11-4. Then, with an aggressive and fast-paced attacking style, the North American squad had a flawless T-side and closed off the map 16-4.

Despite Lucas "LUCAS1" Teles' double-kill opening on the Terrorist side, fnatic's retake prevailed and got them off to a flying start despite Immortals' bomb plants in the first two rounds. Until the eighth round, the Brazilians weren't able to win any round – even though Henrique "HEN1" Teles almost clutched a 1v4.

The Swedes then secured their eighth round on the board, but Immortals picked another while executing B with Tec-9s. From that point, fnatic only won two more during the first half.

With a flawless pistol round as CTs, Dennis "dennis" Edman's squad continued to pave the way for their first win. The Brazilians still managed to win four more, but fnatic's men kept on winning and eventually closed off Inferno 16-9.

Damn, didn't expected such result between Cloud9 and G2. Nice result for fnatic, let's see if they can do something this tournament.

You don't like their casting? I find it pretty entertaining. Who would you rather have casting?
2017-05-30 21:37
I guess it's just his preference, I like all casters, I have them purely for color commentating anyway, same with football. Don't need them to understand things, but it's nice hearing someone talk about it "background noise" even sometimes :P
