G2 and EnVyUs beat Brazilian duo

With both matches happening on Cobblestone, G2 and EnVyUs have picked up one more victory at the ESL Pro League Season 5 finals after beating SK and Immortals, respectively.

Although SK were aiming for a perfect run in Group A, G2 prompted their trial with a quick five-round lead – the Frenchmen were the first team to win a single round as Counter-Terrorists against the Brazilians in Dallas.

After losing against Immortals, G2 easily beat SK

Despite winning the sixth round, SK lost another five in a row before securing one more. From that point, Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo's men were actually able to win another three and secure a 5-10 scoreline by the end of the first half.

With a nearly-flawless pistol round, the French team opened the way for a 13-5 lead. G2 had to win this game to keep their hopes up, which they confirmed with a 3v5 in the gun round to eventually reach match point. Their opponents then won another round, but G2 easily closed the map 16-6.

With a B execution, Envy picked up the first pistol round and the subsequent two as Terrorists. Henrique "HEN1" Teles then opened up the gun round, but it went into the way of the French squad.

EnVyUs have crushed Immortals after the Brazilians' victory over G2

Vincent "Happy" Schopenhauer and co. kept on winning eight straight rounds before the Brazilians were finally able to win one, which was won with pistols. Even though Immortals won the following round, Envy eventually finished off the half with a dominant 13-2 lead.

A quad-kill from Happy in the second pistol round got the French squad one step toward the victory, which they did with a crushing 16-2 victory.
