Renegades book Major qualifier spot
Renegades have become the first team to secure a spot at the offline qualifier for PGL Major Krakow from the Asia Minor after defeating Immunity 2-1 in the Upper Bracket final.
Day three of the Asia Minor, taking place at the Dongyi Tianhong Studio Hall, in Beijing, kicked off with the Upper Bracket semi-finals, both of which featuring one Chinese and one Australian team.
TYLOO went into their match against Renegades with wind in their sails after dropping just eight rounds in the group stage, but they were blown away by Noah "Nifty" Francis, who put in strong individual displays on the final two maps to inspire his team to turn the series around after they had lost the opening map.
The Australian derby was a bit of an odd series as all three maps were one sided. Renegades took the lead in the series with a comprehensive 16-5 victory on Train, where Nemanja "nexa" Isaković wowed the community with a Desert Eagle ace. Immunity responded by winning Nuke by the same scoreline, but then Mirage went Renegades' way in convincing fashion.
