Renegades win Asia Minor over TyLoo

Renegades came from behind to beat TyLoo 2-1 and win the Asia Minor Championship.

The final day of the Asia Minor Championship, hosted by PGL in Beijing, kicked off with an all-Chinese clash between TYLOO and Flash, the only two home teams left in the tournament. Ke "captainMo" Liu's men put in a great display, overturning a 9-6 deficit on Mirage to win the map 16-12 before crushing their opponents 16-4 on Train.

TYLOO went on to face Immunity in the Consolidation Final, with a spot at the Major qualifier at stake. The previous match between the two had ended in a bloodbath, and this one followed the same pattern as the Chinese quickly disposed of the Australians in a series in which they gave up just three rounds in total.

With both spots at the Major qualifier already determined, Renegades and TYLOO faced off for bragging rights and a bigger chunk of the tournament's $50,000 prize pool. The first map of the series, Mirage, was highly contested from the get-go, with TYLOO scraping to a 16-13 win after taking eight rounds in both halves.

jks fired Renegades to win their first Minor

Map two, Cache, began with Hui "DD" Wu almost winning a 1vs5 situation in a scrappy pistol round. Rounds then went back and forth as neither team could build a significant lead, with Renegades stepping up in the final stages of the half to secure nine rounds on the CT side. TYLOO picked up the first three rounds of the second half to equalise the score at 9-9, but then Renegades went on a great run and kept their opponents from building on the few rounds that went their way, eventually taking the map at 16-11.

It all came down to Cobblestone, where TYLOO took a 9-6 lead at the end of the first half. With Justin "jks" Savage in great form, Renegades turned the game around and eventually reached match point, but the Chinese team fought back on a tawdry buy and took the game to overtime. Despite the setback, the Australians did not falter, winning two rounds in both halves to ran out 19-17 victors.

2017-06-04 13:16
considering MVP picked up from the winner team, Nifty should get the MVP, but tbh, look for overall tournament, BnTeT is more deserved to get the MVP

Really? your team Renegades deserve the winning. As a chinese csgo player, so sad, have to say that some Tyloo plyers(not BnTeT) are just using their animal instincts to play CSGO with no brains. imo Tyloo's teamwork totally trash, not better than the way they played 2years ago, they are too arrogant and irresponsible to be professional players. Thank Renegades for beating them, shame on Tyloo. Major? yes,its in their dream.
2017-06-04 17:38
That playstyle works well vs Renegades. So many rounds where Tyloo push through a smoke or push somewhere unexpectedly and get double, triple kills and usually with a ump or pistol. Sure that wont work vs top EU or NA teams but, they know the weaknesses of RNG and played to that. RNG weren't mistake free either, they also have a lot of work ahead of them.

The worst Renegades line up in a long time winning their Minor somehow. Renegades is hopeless anyway with nexa, clearly a Tier 5 player.

It would just be easier for BnTeT to join Renegades instead of an NA team, The 3 Australians on Renegades go back to Australia like once or twice a year to visit family and friends ect and that would give BnTeT a chance to as well without getting in the way of any scheduling

Renegades has to realize HOW SHIT NEXA IS. He has been over 1 rating on just the 16-3 game vs Spotnet that tourney. Otherwise : 0.63 on the Flash 16-6 Renegades game 0.81 on the 2-1 victory vs Signature (9-16 16-5 16-11) 0.88 on the 2-1 victory vs TyLoo (10-16 16-8 19-15) 0.99 on the 2-1 victory vs Immunity (16-5 5-16 16-4) and 0.70 on the grand final vs TyLoo (13-16 16-11 19-17) Don't tell me australian fans that Renegades couldn't find a single AU player better than this Tier 5 player, seriously.
2017-06-04 13:52

2017-06-04 15:59
finally renegades came together as team. this tournament really helped them to improve their teamwork as well as boosted their confidence. well done renegades. for tyloo, somebody is really dragging team down. hz is entry fragger, so his fragging number doesnt have to be so big as long as he makes chaos and gets a frag at entry. captainmo is igl so his frag also doesnt have to be so great as long as he make good calls.
2017-06-04 16:00
BnTeT too good for tylul
2017-06-04 16:52
Idiots giving Nexa heat for his performance, but this is his first pro team and he's only played two LANs with RNG. One he had to IGL.

Congrats Renegades. Also BnTeT is a monster, if things with TyLoo don't work out, I hope he gets picked up by a solid EU or NA team. His potential is insane, also his english is pretty good. He's basically a hard carry in 90% of the maps for TyLoo.
