ECS S3 Finals team list determined

Four teams from both Europe and North America have assured their place at the Esports Championship Series Season 3 Finals in London, United Kingdom.

Although FaZe and G2 are yet to play two matches in the European league, both are confirmed for the LAN finals. While Finn "karrigan" Andersen's team have already guaranteed the first place with only three losses, the Frenchmen can still aim for second in the group above Astralis and fnatic, the other two confirmed European squads.

Astralis won last year's edition with a 2-0 victory over OpTic

Despite that there are still some matches finishing tonight, four North American teams have already grabbed their place at the ECS S3 Finals, leaving behind the likes of Immortals and CLG. Cloud9 and SK have tied in points (39), but the former have placed first as a result of a higher round difference. With 36 and 33 points, respectively, Liquid and OpTic are the other two confirmed teams.

These are the eight finalists of ECS Season 3:

Europe FaZe France G2 Denmark Astralis Sweden fnatic
United States Cloud9 Brazil SK United States Liquid North America OpTic

The ECS S3 Finals will take place at the SEE Arena, London, from June 23-25, with $660,000 up for grabs.

Except fnatic
2017-06-08 03:41
Preferably North over OpTic and maybe Gambit over C9
2017-06-08 03:43
North over Fnatic and that would be the best event before Krakow
2017-06-08 03:45
And Cologne btw
2017-06-08 03:46
Dunno I still think these 8 teams would make the ultimate tournament: Astralis FaZe G2 SK North Fnatic Virtus.pro Immortals/Liquid
2017-06-08 03:48
Yes that would be huge, but ECS will be a nice event. HYPE

They played 6 matches with a complete. They won against CLG so it doesn't count and they lost to SK, something would happen one way or another, so it also doesn't count. So they just lost 1 or 2 games - i don't remember now - to Renegades. They still had 12 matches to pass fucking Optic. There's no excuse. They just suck.
