HAVU sign sergej
HAVU Gaming have announced that they have bolstered their squad with the addition of Jere "sergej" Salo.
Jere "sergej" Salo is widely regarded as one of the most promising talents in Finland, boasting an impressive 1.31 Rating.
The 15-year-old joins HAVU on a permanent basis after playing as a substitute for the team last month in the DreamHack Summer Open qualifier match against eXtatus, in which he topped the scoreboard despite his team's defeat.
The former SkitLite member will step into the shoes of Taneli "disturbed" Veikkola, who has been forced to relinquish his spot on the starting roster due to scheduling issues, with Mikko "xartE" Välimaa taking over as captain.
"During the spring, we have had some difficulties with Taneli’s timetable," team coach Toni "toNppa" Luhtapuro said in a statement.
"That led to frustration since the other players were ready to play most of the time.
"Taneli and the team discussed this issue and decided that it will be better for the team if Taneli is replaced with a new player.
"Taneli will continue in our organization as a 6th player, partner and community manager. After sergej’s fantastic pcw and stand-in performances, we decided to sign him with HAVU."
sergej will make his first offline appearance for HAVU in the Nordic eSports Academy (NeSA) tournament, in Vuokatti, from July 7-9. Sixteen teams will be in attendance at the event, which will have over $11,000 on offer.
The Finnish team now have:
