Secret lose team

Team Secret have announced that they have parted ways with their female CS:GO squad.

In a statement to HLTV.org, team member Zainab "zAAz" Turkie explained that the squad and the organisation parted ways on good terms and added that their new home will be announced soon.

zAAz & co leave Team Secret

Previously known as WRTP, the female team joined Secret's ranks in March of last year. While playing under the organisation, which is famed for its Dota 2 roster, the team won back-to-back Copenhagen Games titles, one ESWC crown and one Intel Challenge Katowice trophy.

"We had an amazing time with Secret and we thank them for their time and wish them good luck in the future," zAAz told HLTV.org.

"But this is of course not the end for us. We will be announcing our new home as soon as possible."

Team Secret had the following roster:

Russia Ksenia "vilga" Kluenkova
Sweden Julia "juliano" Kiran
Sweden Zainab "zAAz" Turkie
Denmark Michaela "mimi" Lintrup
Russia Anna "Ant1ka" Ananikova

In Sweden, it's shit in most of the country, since you have really good internet speed. But in some european countries (even in Portugal) you have internets with really low speeds (mine is one of them- beta.speedtest.net/result/6380896509.png )

2017-06-15 17:54
Tournament organizers don't seem to care much about female CS. If there's no investment into the scene then it won't succeed.

What the fuck? When their top teams fail at OPEN QUALIFIERS why the fuck would you want to invest in their scene?
2017-06-15 11:10
So it becomes bigger?

But they need to prove that they are worth investing into first. Take Brazil cs for example they were nothing until keyd proved themselves and showed there is real talent in Brazil.

LMAO no.
2017-06-15 11:53
They were a force back in 1.6.
2017-06-15 11:57
Yes, then they were absent for like 2 years in csgo.

2 years out of almost 20 years of cs isn't really relevant
2017-06-15 13:13
It's two different scenes and games. 5 years of CSGO and 2 out of em they were irrelevant.
2017-06-15 13:38
but female cs is still shit, your argument is invalid

I wouldnt call it shit, to me its only the lack of experience and proper pactice, i am sure if this girls start to do real pactice with the male teams their level will get more and more high, maybe matching some of the top 10 male teams.
2017-06-15 14:39
People have been saying that for literally decades now. They do practice (or at least they say they do) and some of them are in normal leagues, but they still don't get better. Some of them pretend men don't want to prac them, while in reality it's because the men they want to prac are in top 20 while they themselves are in top 10 000 or something. It's like a division 2 Basketball team from a country like Iceland demanding to practice against the NBA All-stars team (I have no idea if any of these examples exist but you get the point).

Yeah, i get what you are saying, but at least here in Brazil there is some promising teams like Bootkamp(this one is going to play in the female event of the dreamhack summer) and the old team Victory. Resuming, i get what you saying, maybe the solution could be a change in their mentality o how to play, or even put more work on it, maybe is the lack of experience in big events, to still big room to emprove and grow for this female teams.
2017-06-16 13:45
Cuz they were still playing 1.6, u know, it's a different part of world, when they realized that there is something like CSGO it was already as You said 2 years of pro scene doing good
2017-06-15 13:45
It's like playing another sport and then claim you were relevant in another sports scene because you later moved.
2017-06-15 13:47
Let's say it's close enough. Of course it's not Europe's fault that they are... Late :D
2017-06-15 15:19
I wouldn't call an investment into this particular female team a bad one. It is very likely that they will win most female events that they will participate in. Even if there isn't really any interesting money in the female events, orgs can still present them as the worlds best female team and earn money through sponsors and adverts.
2017-06-15 14:43
GIEBSMEDAT How about female cs """pros"""" just get good and join male teams like e.g. Jinny.

Brazil Collee
Their best team would be tier 4(at best) on the male scene, this was proven numerous times, no one will invest too much on this scene, and for a good reason. You don't want to invest more than what you will gain in return, obviously. People just don't care about female CS. If they want to be relevant, they have to play against men as well.

if the boot camp is for 4 days or whatever they should still have more than this,
2017-06-15 13:22
8 hours per day of in-game is still decent, it's not about the amount of time but the quality of it

Brazil Collee
Ofc 8 hours is decent, but she obviously didn't play 8 hours/day lol. Even if she did, she would do it for like 4 days only, and basically didn't play on the other 10. Doesn't change too much. It is about the time as well. Both are important, you won't achieve anything practicing a lot without improving how you should based on the amout of time, but you won't achieve anything dedicating only 2~3 hours of your day as well. You have to play the game every day and a lot
2017-06-15 23:23
she said she did on twitter + I think they had vacation just before the bootcamp so it's possible the majority of those 30 hours were during bootcamp why would anyone even think they'd go on a bootcamp and only play 2-3 hours a day, that's fucking retarded if you ask me. literally nothing indicates that is what happened

2017-06-15 23:35
They just left together with Kemal who got kicked out from Secret. The gaming house it's his and it's in Turkey, hence the reason why they're in Turkey. He's their manager and finding them new org, which he already found.
