UYA have announced that Benny "General" Ng has been installed as their team's head coach.
He will be charged with the task of improving UYA's tactical flexibility, just one month after the team made headlines with the signing of European duo Kristjan "FejtZ" Allsaar and Vladimir "VofkiN" Shmakov.
The Chinese team recently took part in the country's closed qualifier for ESL One Cologne, finishing third-fourth following a 2-1 defeat to ViCi in the semi-finals.
"It was hard to choose between B.O.O.T. & UYA as I had many good memories with B.O.O.T.," General said in a statement. "Nonetheless, I'd like to thank [B.O.O.T. CEO] Vash for giving me this opportunity to go to UYA.
"Some of you may know that B.O.O.T.'s head coach is Harley "dsn" Örwall, who is coaching both of the organisation's divisions, in Singapore and China.
"This will be a new chapter for me, with new challenges. Moving to China to coach a Chinese team, the overall lifestyle will be very different from when I was in Singapore.
"I will do my best to help UYA grow and improve the Asian CS standard! Do support us as we will strive to be one of the strongest teams in China, and in all of Asia!
Meanwhile, UYA have announced that they will skip the Chinese pre-qualifier for DreamHack Masters Malmö as FejtZ and VofkiN have returned to their respective countries due to visa issues and will only fly back to China on June 21.
