Virtus.pro have won Adrenaline Cyber League 2017 after defeating Na`Vi 2-1 (16-2 on Nuke, 20-22 on Train and 16-8 on Mirage).
Virtus.pro started with the map picks and chose Nuke to be the first battleground. They got off to a pretty solid start on Nuke, with Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski and Paweł "byali" Bieliński guiding the way to the 4-0 lead. Natus Vincere, who had easily defeated FlipSid3 in the semi-final earlier that day, couldn't really click and got outplayed by the aggressive style of their opponents, with Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski successfully pushing secret multiple rounds.
Up 13-2, Virtus.pro continued the onslaught in the second half, winning three rounds in a row to snatch the victory and take the lead in the series.
After the disastrous performance on Nuke, Natus Vincere knew they would have to give a much better account of themselves to avoid defeat. After two sudden restarts of the server while the match was live and a delay of around 30 minutes, the game continued, and it looked like a promising start for the CIS legends.
Shortly after Natus Vincere picked up the pistol round, Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas went for a 3K Deagle clutch. The Polish team fought tooth-and-nail for most of the half, but Na`Vi's stern defence put them by three rounds t the end of the half.
The Polish team benefitted from the change to the CT-side as Na`Vi struggled to find options. But as the game wore, on Na`Vi improved massively, which allowed them to push the match to overtime.
A shaky first half of overtime brought Virtus.pro the lead and a real chance to finish off this game, but in the end Na`Vi restored parity at 18-18 before locking down the map in the second overtime with a 22-20 scoreline.
It all came down to the final map, Mirage. The CIS team got off on the wrong foot, losing the pistol round, but then they rallied back in an eco round and eventually took a 4-1 lead. Natus Vincere tried to keep up a strong defence, but Virtus.pro stole the show and finished the first half with a 9-6 lead.
Switching over to the Terrorist side, the game suddenly slipped from Na`Vi's hands. Once again, Virtus.pro showed their strength and tactical finesse on the CT-side, with pashaBiceps having a massive impact on the game with a number of great frags. With the Polish team in full control, the map did not last long as they picked up a 16-8 victory to close out the series.
