MarkE signs for Miami Flamingos
Edgar "MarkE" Jimenez has joined the Miami Flamingos on a permanent basis, the organisation have announced.
Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado will replace Cristian "Proxure" Rojas, who has parted company with the Miami Flamingos by mutual consent after his P-1 Visa application was denied a second time due to lack of information.
The Mexican player has been playing for the Miami Flamingos since the start of the month, when Proxure returned to Chile to wait for his visa to arrive.
He possesses a solid amount of experience, having played for NRG for nearly six months before being benched by the team. During his time with the North American side, MarKE competed in the region's biggest leagues and also attended Copenhagen Games, where they finished 5th-8th.
"It was decided that we need order and stability and that we could not wait for a new answer from the US government, which could take weeks or even months," a statement from the Miami Flamingos reads.
"We would like to thank Cristian "Proxure" Rojas's commitment to the team, leaving his family behind and waiting for a decision that could change his life. We know the kind of stress that a situation like this entails.
"We regret that his visa was not accepted as he is a great player, one of the best Spanish-speaking players in the world. We wish him all the best."
The Miami Flamingos, who currently sit 10th in ESEA Premier, on a 4-2 record, now have:
Guillermo "guishorro" Areco
Jonathan "JonY BoY" Muñoz
Matias "tutehen" Canale
Tomás "tomi" Guardia
